Seem very good for the money - and I like the design...
For the money I wasn't expecting very much. However for under a tenner these represent a good buy. They have a subtle but detailed sound and I think that the bass end is rendered better than other earphons I have which cost much more money. The unusual ear-fitting might take a bit of getting used to as it is very different to any of my other earphones — having said that, once these Panasonics are in the ear they very quickly are comfortable. I have worn them on one occasion for over an hour and felt that the unusual earplug design worked very well for me. Not sure how they will fare over time with regard to durability etc. The cable is very thin, but I think that if you treat them reasonably carefully I can't see any reason why they would develop any problems (time will tell). Overall, especially when you consider that these cost under £10 I think they are worth giving a try. I was pleasantly surprised with their sound quality but I guess that's a very personal statement as everyone has different preferences.

I love suprises like these.
I used a pair of Soundmagic E10's for a year and I thought they were great, but at a student I was always on edge, putting them in their case and protecting them, because at my age and financial status, a £30 replacement for something would literally mean waiting till Christmas/Birthday (We've all been there). So after my Soundmagic E10's had a good run through the wash, they sounded like watered down garbage and by now I knew I needed to replace my earphones soon because I don't want to go back to using a pair of iBeats that were bundled with my HTC. I looked around and people kept talking about the Soundmagics, but I wanted to try something new and cheaper because of my washing machine fear. Apple Earpods? No, they feel awful and sound like garbage. These Betron earphones everywhere on Amazon promising 'Ultra Deep Bass', I hesitated because I've never heard of the brand (but they probably do sounds really great, I wouldn't know) Then I put the price on 'low to high' set my minimum to £5 and hoped for the best and these Panasonic RP-HJE125E Earphones come up with great reviews. I was interested but what the heck do these reviews mean? Some people say they 'Punch sell above their weight sounding as good as some £30-40 earphones' but what does that even mean? Because my Soundmagic E10's were £35 and I the reviews said they sounded like £70-80 earphones. So that'd mean these Panasonic earphones sound as good as the Soundmagics which are apparently as good as £80 earphones? First of all, I opened the box to reveal what looked like one of the cheapest earphones ever, they're packaged like JVC Gummies (JVC's sound really bad and are awful in terms of build quality and comfortability). Yes, they feel like airplane earphones they hand out before the flight. The cable is cheap and nasty, but the build of the actual earbuds are quite nice. Then I tried them with some of my favourite music (If you're interested, I listen to artists like Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Taylor Swift, The Beatles, Drake, Eminem, Classical music like Claude Debussy, I'm a huge Disclosure fan, love Sam Smith and Pentatonix. Varied I know). They sounded really really great. Its really confusing to feel something kinda bad then have it perform really really well. If you blindfolded me and told me these cost £50, I'd have no idea. The fit is really great, they never fall out my ears, no matter if I'm jogging, at work, at college, they stay in without fail. I sleep with my earphones in because I need to listen to a podcast or something to help me get to sleep, the detail they have in voices are truly astounding, why do these £5 earphones sound SO GOOD? It makes no sense? Are Panasonic making ANY profit? Whatever is happening within those cheap earphones is kinda amazing. Pros: - Sound Really Great - A Well Rounded Sound (Not too sharp, Not too much bass) - Cost literally nothing in comparison to performance - Easy to replace if lost, broken (cause they're almost too cheap) - Great fit in the ear - Right angle AUX plug - Work with all devices I've tried (Xperia Z3, Note 3, Windows 10 Laptop, Surface 3, Nexus 7, Tegra Note, iPhone 5/5S/6S) - I can finally hear details in my music I never heard before - They dont distort at all when at full volume Cons - They kinda feel like they're going to break sometimes (but I 100% would pay £10/20 more for the same earphones with high quality wire and metal enclosure) - Next to no sound isolation (people up to 5m away in a quiet room can hear your music, loud and clear, but I listen to them on full blast anyways) - You're reading this review and you've not got them yet. Buy them because you'll regret nothing. They're really, REALLY good.

Best
These are the best earphones I've ever owned, they actually stay in my ears and don't hurt, and the sound quality is very good. My only concern is that the skinny white wire will break over time so if they made wireless ones in this shape I'd try them.

No static sound, but still cheap.
these are good for the price. They're not going to give you that tinny/static hearing in your ear with some really cheap earphones you can get (Think 2£ shop), but they're not going to blow you away either. If you just want decent sound quality, at a decent price to block out screaming babies on the train, then these are your best bet. They come with 3 sets of eartips, and i usually use the smallest pair when i get earphones, I ended up using the second smallest (medium?) size pair on these, cause the small pair just went too far into my ear canal. The only other thing i can say is the jack ends in an L shape.

Incredibly comfortable, good quality and great value for money
I am not the most gentle person with headphones and I use them all the time, so I go through a lot of them. Therefore, price is a big factor for me, but at the same time, I don't want to sacrifice quality. These headphones seem to be the best of both worlds. ====== QUALITY ====== The build quality of these headphones is top notch and what you would expect from a company like Panasonic. They are light weight, robust and seem to have been made from excellent materials. The sound quality is top notch as well. As I said, my earphones have a high turnover rate so I have sampled a wide variety over the years. Before now I've found that the best sound quality (in an under £10 price range) were Sony in-ear headphones. These headphones (£5.25 at the time of purchase) are of similar, if not equal quality. ====== COMFORT ====== The other thing to look out for of course, is comfort. I often have my earphones in for several hours at a time so they need to feel comfortable. These certainly do. The buds themselves are of a strange design, ever so slightly off centre to the housing, but this works. They are so comfortable I forget that I am wearing them. ====== VERDICT ======= Overall, I am very impressed with these earphones. Cheap, comfortable and good quality, they tick all the right boxes for me. Therefore, an easy 5 stars.

Surprisingly excellent audio quality earphones for such a low price point.
These are exceptionally good earphones considering their low price of £6 which I paid at the time.Audio quality is dynamic and balanced between low to high frequencies. They competed very well with my Betron RK300 and BS10 earphones which I rate as my 2 best earphones in that order;however against my Betron BS10 earphones I had to listen to different types of music tracks many many times as the difference between these earphones and my Betron BS10 I found very marginal thus the fact they gave my Betron earphones a run for their money says a lot about these Panasonic earphones.I am very glad I checked professional and customer reviews before purchasing these Panasonic earphones;they are certainly as good as reviewed in my opinion. Thus in my opinion these are excellent earphones for such a low price and certainly the best earphones in this price category. My Betron earphones prices are between £10-£15.The only very slight negative with the Panasonic earphones is that the spare extra different size earbuds are very easy to fall out of packaging and with them being nearly clear;as I got the white version of this excellent earpiece;thus I ended up losing one of the earbuds which were the small size but this doesn't effect me as the one's that came with the earphones is right size for me;if these spare earbuds fall out of packaging on the white earpieces they are nigh on impossible to locate.Apart from this these earphones are surprisingly great audio quality despite their very low price.Highly Recommended for such a low price.

Broke within a month
It works decently for cheap headphones, but the casing of one of the earbuds broke within a month of very light use. Very disappointed.

Very good earphoens
Really the best non-audiophile wired ear phones I've used. The sound is clear and they fit comfortably. I have several pairs so I'm not caught without.
