Tefal sadly don't seem to stand for reliability any more.
This worked one time, then no longer. I have 2 tefal pressure cookers, one old one, one brand new. I have bought 4 of these sealing rings, and not one has performed consistently, including the 2 I got direct from Tefal. My old pressure cooker's ring worked consistently for about 15 years, so I suspect that Tefal have changed the design so that people will replace them more regularly. They're getting their wish - I'm going to buy the IKEA pressure cooker instead to see if that's better. It can't be much worse.
