Really nice warm sounding strings
Great strings, I put them on my Taylor 114CE as Taylor’s are naturally very bright sounding guitars and I wanted it to sound a bit warmer and these strings have done the trick, they sound great, nice warm, mellow tone with a hint of brightness, easy to install, packaged very nicely, very affordable. Time will tell how well they resist rust but D’Addario always make high-quality products, also nickel strings naturally tend to last longer than PB’s in my experience with other Nickel strings sets.

Ok - sound a bit dull compared to elixir ph-Bronze
These used to be my go to strings for acoustic. So when my new taylor needed restringing naturally I went for these. Made me realise the elixirs that taylor use sound much better….

Excellent strings
After over 30 years of guitar playing I am still looking for the perfect string, D'Addario have come close with these. The first thing to mention is that they look like electric guitar strings, which is a little confusing to begin with. They are smooth to my fingers and have very little string noise. They sound bright - very bright - which again for me is a good thing. There are lots of high end overtones, but the bass still projects. On my Martin the mid's are a little reduced, which could be a good or bad thing, I tend to slightly scoop the mid's anyway so it wasn't a problem for me. They last well, they last as long as some coated strings - but not all coated strings. They certainly keep their brightness longer than standard 80/20's and phosphor bronze strings. If you like bright long lasting strings give these a try.

Excellent, only use these on my acoustics
I am a regular gigging musician, and I have tried many many different strings.. Ernie ball paradigms, elixirs, D’Addario phosphor bronze.. And these come out on top, they last long and hold their tuning. Plus they genuinely sound great!!! Anyone who says they are ‘Too bright’ should probably consider changing their gauge of strings then. Because the strings lift up the Mids in the guitar, giving a slight illusion that the guitar is trebly (which it is not) My honest recommendation is the ‘Light’ gauge, it’s not so heavy that it chokes the guitar out but heavy enough for a thicker sound! Lastly, with every other string brand.... CLEAN THEM. Buy them :)

I feel kind of guilty for liking these strings a lot.... I feel like I am betraying the Phosphor Bronze variety.
At the beginning I was not sure if I liked them or not. The sound was a bit dry to my ear, not so much of that fairy dust that you hear around the notes using phosphor bronze strings. It's a more naked sound if you will. As a generalisation, they are brighter than phosphor bronzer but warmer than the 80/20; however, I think the cut better than the 80/20 and they can also be as warm as the phosphate bronze. It all depends on how you attack the strings. They are suit perfectly strumming and finger picking.

Great sound not sure about longevity
Great sound on a dreadnought with stika top rosewood back and side's, bright, warm and punchy. Started to fade at 2 months and were starting to rust

Initially a bright tone which lasts.
I dislike the initial bright tone, but after time they settle down and become a trusted sound. After long periods of playing the strings remain consistent. It’s good knowing they can be reliable both sonically and in terms of breakage. 4 stars overall.

Great natural sound
I've grown accustomed to using phosphor bronze strings on my Martin Dreadnought. These nickel bronze strings came with a Collings OM I purchased recently, and I'm very happy with their clarity for fingerstyle and flatpicking. They usually last around 4-6 weeks for me (playing 1-2 hours a day). One benefit over PB strings is that I have not experienced any corrosion on them yet, they simply seem to lose their punch when they die. All in all I'm very happy with them and would recommend trying them out. They might not be a good fit for all guitars, and it's always a matter of preference (one players "clarity" can be another players "harshness" or "coldness"), but they work well for me.
