Yes, this is apolactoferrin. I verified this with Jarrow before purchasing and when I received it, the label stated apolactoferrin (which is what my cat needs for his immune system).

is this the same as bovine colostrum?

Lactoferrin is a protein found in high densities within bovine colostrum, and is also found in cow's milk. So it is not colostrum, but is an active and important ingredient in colostrum. I am unsure if this product is derived from bovine milk or colostrum.
