getting crested gecko but worried about winter uk temps, could I use this with canopy on its own to raise temperature when needed please?

I have a leopard gecko..I use this liget as well as a halogen bulb to boost the temperature and of course i also increase the temperature of the heat mat as well

could i user this for my leopard gecko?

can this be left on all day or would I need a timer with this? just worried incase it makes my small terrarium for crested gecko too hot?

Just seen your question. Well I have 2 whites tree frogs and I use it for them. I turn it on first thing when I get up and late in the evening sometime before I go bed and they are absolutely fine! I have never had any problems where I thought over wise. Hope this helps
