A must for any classical guitar player.
This is an amazing piece of kit. It's completely changed the comfort in playing as the guitar doesn't move at all- it stays in whatever position I put it in. Having the guitar raised really makes all the difference- way more comfortable and I'm not moving my shoulder around trying to hit hard chords. This really is worth every penny and my all-time favourite classical guitar purchase, apart from my classical guitar itself. The delivery takes a little while, as advertised, but is expected as is from Europe, Sweden if I remember rightly, but it was delivered at the earliest date advised. Seriously, it's worth the wait and the price is great for the difference it makes. So glad I decided to get it, I'll never play without it.

A great device.
Well worth going for...I love this; far better than the traditional method of using a foot-stool I was suffering 'dead-leg after about 20 mins using the stool....no problems now with the Ergoplay. I've noticed many professional players are using one too. The guitar is very secure and the angle can be adjusted too if you prefer the guitar in a more upright holding position. A great device....very simple but effective.

Well built
Good product. Does the job well. Recommended

Pretty good, but not for me.
It does what it says. It promotes classical position, but its range of horizontal adjustment is quite poor. If you like your guitar more to the centre or slighty to the right of your torso, it doesn't really have much to offer. Very good build quality and I would trust it in a performance (where full classical posture is sensible), but it's not much use as a practice tool. Not versatile enough. I replaced this with a Guitarlift, which was a bit better, then a Le Support which is excellent. For the money, the Tappert is ok but I think there are better options days (but they all cost more, so credit where it is due).

but it left marks
The rest was very good positionally and solved my back and wrist problems . I was watching closely to see if the suction pads left marks as I have seen on the internet this is possible . I kept the rest in place for brief periods of half an hour or so to reduce the chance of this, but unfortunately after a few weeks the pads left tide marks on the finish that I found ugly and unsightly . I could not remove them at first but eventually obtained a specialist product that did the job . My instrument is finished with nitrocellulose lacquer which is notoriously vulnerable, but I like it to look good as well as play well, so the cloudiness under the suctions pads did bother me. I wish I could think of another way to attach this rest, because positionally it is excellent, and having tried other solutions such as straps and foot stools it is definitely the best from that point of view.

Fantastic Design
The Ergoplay Tappert model works great on my Cordoba C12. The suction cups are just the right degree of gummy to securely hold on to the guitar without any worry over the finish. The support is fully adjustable for height and, importantly, tilt. On adjustment, the wing nut that keeps the forward suction cups at the proper level works perfectly; no slipping or needing to constantly re-tighten. I was using a foot stool and started to develop left knee pain no matter how I adjusted my position. Also, when last in London I bought a different support (don't recall the name) from a prominent classical guitar shop that was not nearly as intuitive to use and ultimately did not work as well as the Ergoplay. Now I have no more pain in my knee (or back) and the Ergoplay just keeps getting more and more comfortable, the more I use it. I wouldn't bother to write a review except that the design of this product is exceptional. Don't just take it from a duffer like me; I finally went ahead and made the purchase after I saw Brandon Acker mention the Ergoplay in one of his videos. He's right; it works great!

Don't buy without trying.
I bought this to enable me to play without a footstool. I'm afraid I have found it useless because the suckers would not stick to the guitar at all especially if the angle is adjusted. They never stuck on long enough for me to play! Don't buy without trying one out!

Comfortable and effortless
I've just received my Ergoplay guitar rest and have spent a few hours playing classical guitar with it. It does exactly what I had hoped it would, which is allow me to play more comfortably, without a foot stool. The foot stool was giving me pain in my left hip. It makes holding the guitar effortless. I found it easy to fit and so far the suckers are holding firmly to my gloss finished guitar. I would highly recommend this to keen classical guitar players who can't get on with a foot stool.

Just Amazing
I came across this thing from a youtube video of Michael Lucarelli. My first thought was "What the hell is that?" I had a footstool. I really just wanted to try this thing out. I felt at the time that the price was too high. I initially was just standing out on a limb buying this. I really was trying to get a second option besides the footstool. At the time the footstool felt just fine. This thing looked like a glorified L Bracket. And the reviews made it seem to be for people with back problems (which i dont). The first few hours of playing with it, i just couldn't get comfortable with it. It took me a bit to find the right position. Also i kept having the feeling my guitar was not supported...but it was. It just felt odd. I kept feeling like i had to lift my toes or something to lift the guitar. It took me a bit to trust that this would support the guitar and sit in a relaxed state. However over the past couple of days since having this. I have set the stool back out of sight, and always am using this with my classical. Actually i haven't even taken this off. I hang my guitars on the wall and let the support just sit there suctioned with it. I have even accommodated extra space between my other guitars for my classical so i can leave this on it all the time. And yes these are good suction cups. Not the crap that comes with GPS units. I have even held only the support to put the guitar back on the wall hangers. I have not yet tried to figure a way to put this thing in a guitar case. However I dont feel it will fit. It would be nice if there was a lockable hinge at the 90 degree point so you could fold it on itself and stick it in a case. It is 2 pieces. The side with the wing nut can be shorted halfway, but that is about as compact as it can get. I have a feeling that this is one of my required things from now on. Just before you leave the house, guitar...check, picks....check, extra strings....check, music book...check, guitar support....check. Hell i might even buy one for the car to go. I do not regret buying this. Yes, i still feel like it is a little pricey, but its worth it. Such a simple design and yet so satisfying. It really proved itself to someone that didn't think much of it initially. It is not until now when playing with this support, that i realize the uncomfortable position of the footstool. I will never go back. UPDATE: After a month of playing on this...It is just amazing. I have not used the foot stool since buying this still. The suction cups do come off at times, but luckily gravity keeps it on. I did bend it a little by putting too much weight on as i was reaching over the guitar for something. It would be nice if it was a little stronger for the price. However it is still worth the buy. I do still have the problem of it sliding down my leg. I normally remedy this with a guitar repositioning. I was thinking of adding the hook velcro side on the under belly to help with friction, but not sure yet. UPDATE2: After a few years, i still use this. I have never went back to the foot stool since i bought this. Every so often the suction cups will come off, but they are not hard to put back on. I have also gotten this to fold in a guitar case with the guitar. And actually quite easy without damage too. What i do is i put the guitar in the case, then i unscrew the bracket and swing the leg back over itself to make a smaller L shape. Then i tuck the short side above the headstock down into the case, and let the long side come out of the headstock down towards the nut and neck. When i close the case it does not compress onto the guitar.

Gran calidad, hecho en Alemania. Poco más que decir.
Excelente. Totalmente recomendable.

Funcional y bien pensado
Funciona muy bien, se adhiere sin problemas a la guitarra, espero que las ventosas sean durables y no se desgasten rápido. NOTA: Si la guitarra es delgada este producto NO te va a servir.
