Good machine
The device is larger than expected, specifically wider than the previous model. The extra width is actually usefull, as it means less distance to travel, Putting the parts together is relatively simple. Follow the instructions, there are no special tools required. Fortunately, all the parts for assembly were delivered in the package. Machine is very effective when it comes to the scarification function. Could not believe how quickly the collecter box fills up with thatch and moss. Literally every 20 meters or so, had to empty. Like all devices these days, made of plastic, but it least it is more sturdy than the cheaper versions. Also arrives with the scarifier blade attached. There is also an aerator tool, not tested that yet. Price was competitive for the quality of the machine. Used once so far, no issues. To confirm, The device has an electric cable , not cordless

Powerful, light and easy to operate.
Took a long time comparing various scarifiers and eventually went for this Bluemars 2000 watt scarifies and aerator. With 5 depth heights and a 40 cm width it is about the best model for our half acre lawn being both powerful and very effective clearing out the thatch and aerating the soil. Like other reviewers it quickly became apparent that when first using the rake the 25ltr bag fills within two or three yards so it’s much easier to leave the bag off and use a hand rake (see photo on highest setting for the rake) This isn’t the fault of the machine more our fault for not ever raking out the lawn! The aerator works quickly and effectively (see second photo). What a great machine this is. The instructions for assembling the handles were confusing but despite this it was relatively easy to put together. Folding the handles down when storing in garage was quick and simple. Replacement rake and aerator cylinder parts are also available on the Amazon web site. A well designed machine that gets five stars from me; very pleased with this purchase.

Great lawn scarifyer
Brilliant product. You may only use this a couple of weeks of the year but it will transform your lawn Four settings, you’ll probably only need to use the first. Easy to use, lots of power, lightweight and good value for money. It folds away and easily fits into a small shed along with your mower. Removes moss, thatch and cultivates areas if reseeding is necessary. Very happy with my lawn now.

Powerful lawn scarifier that does the job
Very powerful lawn scarifier / aerator, removes large quantities of thatch even at the highest setting from the ground. Which does mean that you need to continually open the lid and compress the contents, otherwise it ends up being spread over the lawn again. It may be a 55L box, but any more than half full and again, it leaks out. I suspect this is more of a problem during the first few uses, when there is a lot of material to be raked, but it is worth pointing out that you will spend quite a lot of time compressing and emptying the collection box, at least at first. The tool itself is relatively light, but not flimsy by any means and swapping the aerator/scarifier rollers is very simple. Initial construction is more fiddly, the instructions are a bit vague at times and they've clearly been translated from another language, but overall it isn't overly difficult. Storage is a bit more of a pain, unless you undo all of the quick release handles the tool takes up a lot of space if kept on the ground, so it either needs to be hung up, or you have to fiddle with the handle segments each time you get it out - unless of course you are lucky enough that floorspace isn't an issue for you. Overall, a good tool, perhaps a little on the pricey side for the type of machine, but the build quality appears sound and we'll know in a few years if that made it good value or not.

Effective, easy to use good value and good service from supplier.
Fairly easy to assemble although the instructions were a little challenging at first.Have used the scarifier roller which is very effective for removing thatch and moss with very little effort as the machine is relatively light and the motor is powerful enough for the job.The collection bag soon fills but it is probably more efficient to not use it and collect the cuttings separately for large areas.First impressions are very positive and i'm looking forward to tackling the 5oo square metres or so of lawn once conditions allow.Seems sturdy so should last in which case represents good value.

A quality machine
I found the machine to be of a high quality, solidly built and simple to assemble. It was extremely effective in carrying out scarifying and aeration, and removed an incredible amount of thatch and moss, and because of the operating width it soon did the job. Changing the attachments for both operations was very quick and easy. However it is not a five minute job so allow more time than you think. I completely discarded the grass box, after reading previous reviews and that proved to be a good decision. Due to the machines effectiveness I found it necessary to overseed the lawn and apply top dressing. I bought the machine after reading many reviews on Amazon and it proved to be a very good decision. This is quality if you buy it you will not regret it.

Indispensable for anyone with a large lawn
So, this is one powerful lightweight beast indeed. We have an enormous lawn at something like 425 M², and as I am 6’ 4” tall, with a back that has been slightly problematic through the years, the idea of using a lawn rake to remove the many years of compressed thatch and weeds etc was a non-starter. This particular model arrives in a small box and the instructions are relatively simple to follow and put together. If I’m honest I actually tried to put it together without reading the instructions and made a complete hash of it, so lesson learned there then. Once I'd got it ready to go there are various settings and I put it on the lightest setting (I.E the highest setting) to start with and off I set and within a few short minutes I was absolutely stunned by the sheer quantity of thatch and weeds and debris that it was raking up from my lawn, but remember, this is what it's supposed to do! Now the thing to do is to actually read up on how to scarify a lawn properly and from just about every source that I read most people are astounded by just how much thatch and weeds etc something like this machine will produce it really is amazing quantities. When you finish doing your lawn you will probably wonder what the hell you've done and your lawn will almost certainly resemble Passchendaele circa 1918, but don't dismay at this and this is entirely normal and there are some good videos on some proprietary video based websites that show you exactly what scarifying a lawn does. Back to the machine, the blades are interchangeable, and it is very easy to change and it appears to be well made and capable of doing the job the only interesting byproduct of this is the fact that you will empty the collection bag on an incredibly regular basis if you haven't scarified your lawn for many years as I hadn’t. That said, I haven't pulled my back and I'm not in pain as I would be if I'd have been using a lawn rake. In short, indispensable unless you have endless time and a back of steel.

An excellent product
Easy to put together. Works extremely well and I am amazed at the amount of thatch and moss that is produced! No need to use the collection box for the first time as it is much easier to use a lawn rake to collect up. An excellent buy.

Brilliant scarifier for even deep moss/large gardens.
Two years ago I had to get a landscape firm in to scarify my lawns due to the depth of moss. It cost me over 1000 euro. This year the problem was worse. I considered buying a petrol heavy duty scarifier but the weight and problem of getting it serviced put me off. I brought this electric version without much hope given the depth and scale of the moss problem but to my surprise it has been absolutely fantastic. I have done all the lawns on the zero setting twice and now have a pile of moss about the size of a small bungalow! It is very light weight, very easy to push and manoeuvre, very efficient and quick. Given the amount of moss it removes you can't use the box. I have drilled a small hole in the rear guard and attached a piece of string and simply raise the back to release the built up moss. I have a very large garden and I can not recommend this piece of kit more highly to you. Remember it has an electric cable which is quite long but you have to be systematic in your approach to cutting larger areas. The vibration is okay but I would recommend gell gloves and using it for no more than fifteen minutes at a time. It has a wide cut but you do need to overlap and if possible do the second run at right angles to the first. It produces a lot of moss so I scarify ... rake ...cart off, repeat. Remember moss dose not decompose very well if at all aerobically, so don''t be tempted to put on compost heap. I have a separate dump for it and compress it down in layers each with a handful of NPK fertiliser then keep it very wet. I also found that you don't have to really cut the lawn too low beforehand, not that you will be able probably due to the moss, , as on the zero setting it also cuts the grass making the moss a bit more degradable.

Amazing piece of kit
This is an absolute beast of a machine. Did a pretty large lawn in less than 30 minutes. You just need a routine to make sure you avoid the power cable. As others have said, the bag fills up really quickly so isn’t really practical. If using without the bag and with the bag door open (tied in place) make sure to wear eye protection as I found that occasionally some odd bits and small stones could get fired out the back. Highly recommend this machine for price, power and efficiency.
