These are not silent at all. They do absolutely nothing for dog barking

I purchased the whistle to teach my dachshund that he can play with his sister without barking constantly. It has made a good first impression. I put my dogs out to play in the yard because I wanted to allow myself and my husband to know what it sounds like. Within mere seconds of blowing the whistle once - both dogs were waiting at the door. I am praying it works just as well with barking. I would appreciate if it came with an instruction manual for adjusting the pitch. I understand you adjust the nut to increase or decrease frequency. However, there is no way of knowing what adjustments make it louder or quieter. It would just be nice to have that information. Overall, I am praying this works for our Milo.

No directions and not sure how to use them correctly. They look like good kinds you can get really inexpensive

Not even sure if they work. They are very difficult to blow and you don't have time for that when you need it to work exactly in the moment you are using it.

I wasn't sure if our 1 yr old Lab would respond but she did right away! We have a 1/2 acre place and she comes running.

These are very simple, easy to use and compact. Mostly metal minus the plastic cover. I was under the impression us humans would not be able to really hear the whistle, but you definitely can. Dogs probably hear it much louder but does still seem much louder than I anticipated. Dog DID react to this but not in a super negative or dramatic way. I will have to look at the directions to adjust the pitch, so be mindful of that and cautiously/gently test this on your dog.

Product appears very well made and I loved them. Only problem is that one of the whistles does not work and does not make a sound.. so I paid double the cost for one unless the vendor replaces it. I hate to ask that on such a small order.
