Great sketchbooks in great sizes.
I Have been using SeaWhite sketchbooks since my days in College in the '90s. The paper is sturdy enough to take a lot of punishment with pencils, and charcoal, pastel pencils, pen & ink and gel pens. It has a slight texture, so very fine lines with small point felt tips need care and control to draw. My favourite per is the Pilot G-Tec-C4 in different colours and any non water base felt tip will work fine if you put a bleed proof sheet of paper behind, just in case... I love their sizes, on the 19x19 sketchbooks you can get a really nice size landscape. I often use watercolour paints with a fairly dry brush, but I don't mind the paper getting a little wet. I let it dry and press a warm Iron over it afterwards, if needed. It's a sketchbook, a place to play and experiment, after all!

LOVE these books- such a feel of quality and decadence ...
LOVE these books- such a feel of quality and decadence about it. Not looking like a craft paper book like many but like a tome of work you can put on your shelf with all your other books. The cover is hardbacked with linen effect fabric in black and it stays clean no matter what I throw at it. The paper within is 140g and if gesso is used it stands up to markers of alcohol and indian ink style. It also takes dylusion paints, watercolours and sprays of inks with a little warping. When I close the book and put it between two others on the shelf it makes the warping disappear and my work is flat again. It takes glue of all different kinds to stick embellishments on and I use mine for mixed media as I rarely sketch these days. I enjoy these books and have used all square sizes because I like square pictures. From the tiny for simple practice pieces to the large size I'm never upset by the results. Love this product and have many of them waiting to be filled with fun and life collages. I buy one every so often just to put away for when I need it just in case they stop making them haha I highly recommend buying this item and other sizes from Amazon as they are the best for price speed and availability.

Well pleased.
I misread the advert when I ordered, thought the price meant 3 books.. My mistake - impulse buy.. But now the books arrived; glad I ordered it.. Well make, good quality paper.. and for the price - delivered to your door - incredible..

A great product for a reasonable price.
Pros: The book itself is a lovely size, with decent paper weight and handles most of my wet media without bleed through. Cover is quite thick and sturdy and I found it quite comfortable to sketch on my lap without using a drawing board. Pages lay flat enough to allow for a two page spread without bulging up along the spine. The paper grade is similar to a heavy cartridge paper which makes line work easy. *Avoid alcohol markers though; this paper isn’t going to handle Promarkers etc. The paper crumbles and the colour bleeds onto the backside. In fairness, unless you specifically buy marker paper, bleed through is going to a problem. Con: The corners were dented in transit and won’t straighten out properly. Possibly due the thickness of the cover. This is purely a con due to aesthetics rather than a comment on the product quality.

Brilliant.
I absolutely LOVE this sketchbook. I used them all the way through art college and I was so pleased to find them for sale on Amazon. They're a good shape and size (I personally don't like rectangular sketchbooks) and of good quality with hard back covers. The generous quantity of pages are stitched which means you can work across two pages, unlike a spiral bound book. It's good quality cartridge paper (perhaps not of the same standard of, say a Daler Rowney sketchbook but good nonetheless) and supports a variety of mediums. For around £10 this is incredibly good value. It arrived promptly and have been well packaged.

Lovely sketchbook, great service
I confess that I misread the weight of the paper of this sketchbook when ordering believing it to be much heavier, (140 lb, not gsm!), in my delight at finding a stitched, cloth bound book in a square format. That said, it is beautifully made and I am happily surprised at how well it lies flat, given how many pages there are. It's easy to use a double spread. I have used pen, pencils and watercolour and there is no bleed-through. There is some buckling using watercolour, though, enough to render the back of the page unusable in my opinion, but this is a small price to pay for such an affordable, quality paper and I would happily buy again. It was also delivered really quickly. Recommended!

Hell yes! Delighted!
Wow, it has 190 pages, this is a huge sketchbook, and it does not feel at all cumbersome! I've just tested the page with some preliminary pencil shading, and it has a fine tooth, perfect for my needs. I thought the DR graduate sketchbooks were value, I'm wiser now. I'll be back for more, but this will take me ages to fill. I've been drawn to spiral bound, but this cloth binding has a flexibility that allows for a double page spread to lay flat easily, especially in the middle, so don't let this worry you: one could easily draw in panoramic mode.

I love the ten inch square format- it gives me much ...
I am fairly new to keeping a sketchbook, but I was looking for something that had paper suitable for a variety of media and that came in a larger format. Seawhite and Brighton's sketchbooks do just that. I love the ten inch square format- it gives me much more freedom than A5 sketchbooks that seem to be so widely available. The book is sturdy and well made- the pages are bright white with a slight tooth ( which I really like- not as slick as moleskine)- and it stays pretty close to completely flat when opened. So far the paper has been great with pens, brush markers, and watercolor that I typically use. The paper buckles slightly with the watercolor and only slight ghosting is visible with the brush markers. The company was very kind and prompt when I asked questions about them sticking their watercolor sketchbooks on Amazon- we might be seeing those soon! I ordered their A3 sketchbook and it arrives today along with the starter staples A4 sketchbooks- so excited. I'm thrilled about the A3 size and hope that they stock the case bound book soon too! I'm already a big fan. I will try to post pictures that show how the paper performs.

Well worth the cost
I first learned about this brand from an artist in England. This is excellent quality paper for your creative work in collage, water colour, drawing and acrylics. I am using it more as a scrap book right now, gluing in work I am particularly please with and making notes about it. The covers front and back and very sturdy. This is a high quality book! And I wish the brand were available locally but happy I can order it thru Amazon.
