Makita KP0800K/2 240V 82mm Heavy Duty Planer Supplied in A Carry Case

Great quality and performance. I didn't want cordless, as I was worried they wouldn't last long on a battery, and I have mains where I am working. Very happy

I was going to buy the bosch planer which had good reviews but saw this makita planer which was in screwfix app which was dearer & didnt have the carry case i read a review which pointed me to amazon so got this one here in Amazon brand new not secondhand or refurbed, well happy with it , came today & i fitted a door which needed trimming , perfect & smooth finish made , one thing though if your not used to using an electric planer start off on a low plane setting & take your time as you go. This came with a wrench & a blade gauge in a sturdy makita carry case . Its very easy to use tbh , i think you can buy this with other assesorys but at a bigger price tag . I will be purchasing the dust bag although its good to attach to the hoover with a suitable adapter , i will be purchasing the measuring straight edge gauge attachment aswel soon . One last point i was expecting this tool to be loud but i was pleasantly suprised that it was not that loud at all . The power cable is decent aswell . Didnt want a battery version as i dont rate battery tools but i will say this… Einhell tools are the nuts for battery drills . All in all great edition to my tool collection .

All my Makita product work great and have stood the test of time. Don't buy the knock-offs they stop working after a few days.

It might be me, but I think I was swayed by the Makita hype, I felt I needed one. When I came to use it I found that I was taking nothing off or producing waves on the wood surface. I went back to my trusty hand planes. If you need to plane a door down to size quickly then this the tool for you. For finer work I think it needs practice and getting to know its settings. I will use it but as I use it in a shed at the bottom of the garden I try to take care that I don't annoy my neighbours with too much noise and this is noisy so my use will be when I need to remove a lot of wood.

I always buy Makita products and this again has proved a good buy. Works well

The makita planer was brought as a Christmas gift but I'm sure it's not not too noisy.its good quality and value for its money.

I am an experienced Do It Yourselfer type with appreciation for quality tools. Inatalling solid wood doors requires a planer. Originally purchased the popular Bosch 1594K with adjustable fence. I own many quality Bosch tools and have high regard for them. The Bosch 1594K was immediately returned when the fence could not adjust to 90 degrees. This is a show stopper #1. Show stopper #2 was that the two planes were not parallel. Show stopper #3 was that 0" depth of cut was not 0" depth. On top of that the plane surfacess were scratched and not exactly smooth. I can not believe Bosch designed this turkey, probably found one and attached their name to it. The Makita KP0800K by contrast was perfect. Solid, well made, smooth and as accurate as a planer in this price range can be. Smooth cuts, no digging at start and end of "run" (I forgot the word for this common problem). A great, smooth, easy to use planer. Wish I had bought one a long time ago. To aid me with the 2 to 3 degree beveling of door edges, I also ordered the Makita adjustable fence "Makita 123060-6 Bevel Guide For N1900B Planer" from Amazon of course. Despite the fence's title, it is designed to ALSO attach to the Makita KP0800K not just the N1900B. This fence is solid, has large surface area and locks in the adjustment. And yes it adjusts to 90 degrees. By comparison the Bosch fence was complicated and not solid at all. We would all rather buy the $600 Porter Cable with 3 spiral cutters, but I'll leave that to the pros that earn a living working solid wood door slabs. This Makita is an excellent well designed and built planer, an excellent value.

Die Qualität des Hobels ist nach erstmaligem Gebrauch in Aussehen und Verarbeitung für sehr gut zu beurteilen. Das Hobelergebnis ist sehr gut. Es wird sich aber in der Zukunft noch zeigen, ob er diesen Gütestand halten kann. Leider wird er nur in einem Karton verpackt geliefert, weshalb ich einen Punkt Abzug geben muß. Falls sich ich nach häufiger Verwendung des Hobels eine andere Meinung ergibt, werde ich diese wissen hier lassen!

Der Falzhobel ist ein sehr ausgereiftes Werkzeug, geeignet für sehr gute Arbeitsergebnisse. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Ich kann dieses Gerät nur empfelen.
