Do you have to cut the chimney sweep brush down to fit chimney

In theory no. The brush is flexible. However, in our case we were doing it from inside a log burner and the brush was not flexible enough to go through the hole at the top so we had to cobble together a different end instead of the brush. NB - If the rods are screw together only make sure you don't twist the whole thing the wrong way when it's up the chimney or you may leave some behind!

How big is the brush? Are the rods flexible?

The brush is 400 mm and can be trimmed with scissors. the rods are flexible to a degree. The joints are not flexible. Not suitable for smaller flues with tight bends

For what it cost, its good value

I was a bit skeptical as this is a low cost item. However I dont need it very often and have found it perfectly good for sweeping the flu from my wood burner.

A waste of money

Not a good purchase, so far on 5 of the rods the metal has sheared off / snapped, which is not ideal when its in a drain, my advice do not buy as its not fit for purpose.
