A blank gold card weight inset page front and back. 1 title page simply 'Journal' with verso a 3 line summary of Peter Pauper's 1928 start. The paper will take a fountain pen well and is not watermarked. The description sticker leaves no residue, but needs a bit of ordinary care to stay in 1 piece when you pull it off. Lovely, smart and tasteful. A mini-work of art from all angles, done with care and pride. A pleasure to look at and to hold. The gold pattern is raised and makes using this book a lovely textile experience. You can't see it in the pictures but the spine has a little planet and stars pattern going down it. It'll look like an old-fashioned astronomy book when it's sitting on your shelf. The paper is standard for Peter Pauper Press, smooth and with unobtrusive dotted lines to guide your writing. There is no back-pocket for storage of scraps but all the other features make up for that. The size is bigger than A5, relatively smaller than A4. A good size if those are too big or too small for you. The notebook arrived in just a couple of days and it's well worth the price.
