Worked very well for me with none of the reported issues.
Been after a pole saw for a while now. Looked exclusively at cordless ones with mixed reviews, all were over ยฃ100 with chain speeds of around 5 cm. Came across this mains powered one from Black & Decker with an 11cm speed, 10 inch blade and 2.7 metre reach for ยฃ100 and thought I'd give it a go. It's a great tool, works brilliantly. No issues with the chain coming off as some reviews say, easy to set up and tension. You do have to check the tension every so often but I managed a good hour using it with only one adjustment needed. It is quite heavy at its longest reach but still perfectly manageable with care. Cut limbs of 8 inches and more with relative ease, saved me at least 500 notes if I'd had to employ a tree surgeon. Very pleased with this tool, excellent value for money.

Shame it needs a new chain instead of sharpening it.
Love this pole chainsaw for maintaining an established garden with trees. Just keeps things in check. Just use it on tree limbs that are not too thick and need pruning but too thick for loppers, so this is ideal. Bought it in 2021 and still going strong using it maybe four times a year or so. Clean it every time and check the oil. It does need sharpening but can't see the size of teeth to be able to do so myself with a sharpening kit. Advice is to use a professional which is annoying. Replacement chains should be available but not v environmentally friendly if all it needs is sharpening.

Top notch
Brought this chainsaw pole after being quoted serious money by tree specialists to cut 2 huge trees in the back garden. This tool did the job with so much ease, and done everything i asked of it and put in its path. So the pros are, easy to assemble instructions, a brand named product and cheap to purchase, saved me a ton of money and handled everything i asked of it and so much more, cut trees 7-8 inches thick with ease. Cons comes with no chainsaw oil, the foam protector around the pole tore very easily after little use, i found the cable quite short and when extended fully after using for some time it does get and feels heavy, i used for about 2-3 hours and kept taken mini breaks in between cutting as i was cutting well above my head. As other owners have stated make sure you wear proper safety equipment with this tool. All in all a fantastic tool, would i highly recommend it.

Reaches the places other chain saws can't and is really powerful. Great piece of kit.
This is my second pole saw. The first was rechargeable. It ran out of power very quickly and was not man enough for the job. This one is very powerful because it is mains powered. It is heavy but that cannot be avoided. Before you buy one, first buy a tub of double chocolate ice cream. Carte Dior is the right size. Eat the ice cream but keep the lid as it is just the right size hold the chain whist it soaks in oil. If you don't have any chain oil order some with the saw as none comes with it. Read the moderately good instructions as attaching the (soaked) chain must be done correctly and properly tightened. The little plastic cover which looks like a nut is NOT for tightening. There is a proper nut underneath and a little spanner is provided to use on it. Make sure the chain runs the right way. The pole extends very easily and enables a very long reach although it becomes more challenging to hold. I am delighted with this saw as it has enabled me to remove thick branches which were completely out of reach before. I rate it as one of the most useful pieces of equipment in my gardening armoury and I thoroughly recommend it.

Good quality but a bit heavy.
I have been looking for a good pole saw for some time and when I saw this Black and Decker on offer I decided to take the plunge. This unit is slightly on the heavy side but is fairly well balanced one operates well. Being mains powered there in no power or battery charging to consider, and unless you have an extremely large area to work over the mains power is probably the better option. As you would expect being B&D itโs all round quality speaks for itself and parts, such as chains, are easy to obtain. Good buy.

Very good long reach pole saw
Good quality & well made. Makes cutting high branches very easy. The instructions could be clearer, but they are reasonable to follow. The saw feels solid and is not too heavy, obviously at full extension, it takes a bit of strength to hold. I have used it from the ground & from a ladder with no problems. The safety cut offs give peace of mind. Helmet & glasses/ visor required if working above head as lots of twigs etc come down. The saw can be used on hedges, but gives quite a rough cut & a lot of debris collects on saw blade. No oil is included in box, but is easy to buy in diy shops. The saw is long & cannot be taken apart for storage, so takes up quite a bit of space.

Made easy work of pruning a silver birch
I spotted this B&D pole saw at a bargain price of ยฃ69.95 having looked at it previous to use in trimming a silver birch that overhangs a pavement and part of our driveway. I bought it straight away at the lower price. Arranged delivery for a Saturday as there is no way that anywhere would accept this for collection as the box it came in is 2m long. The blade/chain needed attaching but that was easy. Chainsaw oil is essential as none is included. The saw made short work of the silver birch and maybe I got a little carried away as I don't think I'll need to use it again for at least a couple of years. Very easy to use with or without the shoulder strap. When using it at full extension it can be a little bit of a handful, you just have to take your time. It coped with some pretty thick branches with ease, just let the saw work at its time and don't force it. Overall I'm very impressed and at 70 quid plus another 6 quid for the oil I have saved myself a small fortune by not having to get a tree surgeon in to take case of the tree. Only problem I have now is to dispose of the waste wood responsibly.
