Brilliant product. Got all the colour out of my hair (and there were alot) only thing is, it smells awful. Would definitely recommend

Save yourself the time and money
Doesn't work! Smells awful! Bad for your skin! My hair is dark blonde/mousey brown and dyed it a dark chocolate colour. 6 weeks later, I wanted it gone. Used 2 bottles of this to remove, the only thing it did was make it brassy. No lift whatsoever. Takes forever if you follow the instructions. Total rinse time for my hair was 40 minutes! My neck and arms were killing me by the end of it. From the looks of previous reviews, it only works if you have recently dyed hair before the colour has had time to settle into your hair follicles. It is WAY too expensive for it not to work. Just go to a hairdresser, as you'd end up spending the same amount to get box dye out at home anyway. You also can't get a refund due to the product being faulty/not working. AWFUL. All round bad experience. Save the time and effort, just go to a hairdressers

Works to remove black box dye!!
I don’t normally write reviews but the results were honestly so surprising, I had to write this up for other people’s reference!! For context: I’ve been dyeing my hair for a long time (all sorts of colours) and as of October last year I started using black box dye again for around 9 months! I was worried about going back to lighter hair with just bleach so I decided to try this. After trying a different Superdrug brand remover that did absolutely nothing, I wasn’t optimistic but my god… this LIFTED all of the black pigment/build up with just two rounds, no bleaching needed! First picture is my hair before using this (black permanent box dye), second pic is after the first round - I was left with darker ends and a very orange colour overall, which is expected! Third picture is after the second round of colour oops. Last picture is the final colour result! I still have to bleach my hair now as I’d like to go lighter blonde, but this is an amazing base to start with rather than having to bleach more than once to reach this level, which would be so damaging and ultimately patchy! The only downside of this product is the smell, but after washing it out for 25+ minutes it doesn’t linger on your hair afterwards, it’s just not the most pleasant while it’s on your head. It’s not any worse than the smell of bleach though, and not anywhere near as overpowering :) Some things to note: - I kept my hair wrapped in cling film during the entire 20 minute development time and kept it under my hairdryer on medium heat with the diffuser. - My hair is very thick and is naturally ginger, I’ve always been lucky in that my hair lifts fairly easily. - One box was more than enough for my whole head, as someone with thick hair that’s just above my shoulders. You might need another box if your hair is longer! - I used this product twice to achieve this result, it didn’t feel damaging at all but you might feel a little drier due to how often you need to repeat shampooing while rinsing it out! It’s more than worth it IMO. I saw mixed reviews for this so I’m honestly still shocked that it worked so well. I hope this helps someone! I’ll definitely be using again and recommending this in the future :)

From violet to ginger/honey/ caramel
What can I say other than it worked amazing!! I decided I wanted to go back to my strawberry blond/honey caramel color I had about 10 years ago. I used to mix 3 colors to get that color myself hence I did go to beauty school awhile back. However I am American living in the uk and used to use clairol soyplex and mix 3 colors for a stunning color. They don’t sell that brand here so I had chat gpt convert my 3 amazing colors and what a disaster. My strawberry hair went from that to an ugly mahogany violet not that there’s anything wrong with that but that’s not what I was going for. I was devastated beyond belief and was very worried to try Color oops. I have an appointment with the hairdresser today to match my roots, however after using color oops I did get a-strawberry color from that ugly mahogany violet not that there’s anything wrong with that but that’s not what I was going for. I was devastated beyond belief and was very worried to try Color oops I have an appointment with the hairdresser today to match my roots however after using I did get a beautiful ginger colour and sort of the colour that I was looking to get in the first place. Yay for color oops. I will say I worked it into my hair quite fast. I do have a good amount of gray on my roots so I believe that’s why it lifted so much plus I did use a hairdryer to warm it up a bit bc my house is so cold. I also wrapped my hair in plastic wrap and then a towel over that. I believe I read don’t do that and maybe this is the reason why. Nonetheless I am happy with the color and only wanting to change the roots to make them richer looking. I also did rinse my hair for a good 15 min after washing it, I also washed again 4 more times and then issued a protein conditioner and left on for 25 min and then blew dry my hair and it came beautifully. I uploaded pics not in order sorry but I think you can tell which is which. Also not a terrible smell and well worth the money. Jobaz sounded scary and smelly. This was amazing.

From hairdresser point of view
Does the job well if you follow all instructions. Yes, it does smell ( like most chemical products used to give or remove the colour) but it took away light brown/reddish salon grade tint ( done for years), left my hair surprisingly soft. You deffinately need good protein mask after every wash. I would recommend it even thou the rinsing process is boring and painful 😅

Works well to lighten a good few shades but a lot of rinsing needed
I bought this to try and remove as much of the copper colour in my hair that I could. I've been dying my hair dark red and more lately, copper, for several years but decided it was time to go lighter. I didn't want to use something that was too harsh on my hair. Using this once, I went from dark copper to light ginger. It's easy to apply, just a little runny so he careful. It doesn't smell too bad, maybe a bit citrusy but not too much of a chemical smell. Once I'd left it for the 20 mins to develop, I has to wash it off for 20 mins as they advise. It was really hard to bend over the bath for that long so I had to keep taking a few seconds rest from time to time to stop feeling dizzy. You then have to wash it with shampoo and rinse for another 5 minutes, during which time I ran out of hot water! I then had to take a good 10 mins break whilst the boiler heated up some more. Then I had to repeat that last stage s further 2 times. It made my arms ache. I think that maybe the hot water helps the chemicals develop or something because the more you rinse, the more your colour etc comes out. My hair felt fairly dry once rinsed and was quite matted ( it's pretty long ) so I used a good Detangling conditioner and lots of it, which really helped. It was hard work doing it all but worth it as long as you are prepared for all the rinsing involved.

Didn't work
It didn't work for me, I now look like I could be the grandmother to the girl in the 5th Element! The smell is dreadful just like rotten eggs and several washes later it still smells. I followed the instructions completely using a timer but it didn't work.

Rinse for the full 20 minutes, but great
Completely stripped a dark blonde dye (which turned out to be brown) back to light blonde base. Be warned the 20 minute rinse time is no joke - I initially thought this could be shortened to 10 minutes and several good shampoos, the eggy trump smell lingering on my head shown me the error of my ways. The full 20 minute rinse did eliminate the smell and remainder of colour.

Super.

So happy 🖤
I NEVER leave reviews but I will for this. I was absolutely terrified to try this with such mixed reviews everywhere. Id recently box dyed my blonde hair to crimson/burgundy. By box 3 I was over it. And here we are now. Did exactly as the box said. And im not even mad at the end colour.. Shampoo, rinse and REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT!!! I watched as each rinse changed and im so happy with the so result.

Works great!
Ok I'm generally a review reader, not writer. This product saved my hair. I have waist length blonde hair starting to go white. I decided to embrace it and have spent the last couple of months trying to achieve that, so after bleaching, toning, etc I ended up with purple hair after toning with a silver hue. I have spent the last week trying to vet rid of pink and purple. I used vinegar rinse and then tried baking soda wash. I didn't want to use any more bleach or harsh products as my hair was getting incredibly dry even after using conditioner between every step. So after doing research on Color OOPS. The reviews were mixed, they reflected a really unbearable smell, tough to rinse and being very drying. Bit the bullet and purchased. I am ecstatic. The smell was absolutely no issue. None. The product started working immediately. I ened up keeping it on for about 15 min. No burning or scalp issues. Just was doing an awesome job removing silver box dye. My hair is now a very light blond and actually feels great. I shampooed twice in between rinses and did a good conditioner on final rinse. It is important to thoroughly rinse. Though it's probably the most strenuous , rinse it thoroughly! My hair is softer and feels better than it has in a month. If you are on the fence, jump off. I wish I had done this right away, rather than using the baking soda and or vinegar.
