No you don’t have to remove the toilet seat at all. You just lift the lids up out of the way.

Would this fit a caravan toilet please?

Because not all portaloo's are the same size, you would need to measure: 1. The INSIDE of your standard home toilet, at the top. Both across and front to back. 2 The INSIDE of your portaloo. Both across and front to back. Be aware the RTS sits ON a 1 inch wide porcelain rim, NOT on the toilet seat. There is a little bit of discretion, as there are screws both sides near the back to clamp it in place but make sure there the portaloo has enough length front to back ( to support the raised section) or your disabled person will get unceremoniously dumped on the floor, and likely tip the loo at the same time!!!! Doesn’t bear thinking about. Hope that helps
