Great product
Super light weight and can easily fit within a fire maple pot. Has a great build quality and heats water very easily. Super easy flame to control. Overall great product

Light weight and powerful stove and economical. With right gas works well in all UK weather.
Very light, good heat output more controllable than mk1 stove although a little heavier. Works well with matching pot but also with other pots and pans. flame is stable but a windshield improves performance significantly. I used this stove from midsummer trough to the end of November and it worked well in all weathers I used it mainly to boil water and fry bacon very economical on fuel. 100-gram cartridge has repeatedly done 3-night weekends 4 brews a day hot water for breakfast porridge and meal at lunch and dinner and fried bacon or egg for breakfast. Primus power gas cartridges used. Buy a windshield.

Lightweight titanium stove, good pot stand, not the best wind performance
This little titanium gas stove is very compact and lightweight, the pot stand arms fold out and make quite a Large stand for such a small folding stove , I makes it good for all types of pans including frying pans , the frying pan was sturdy and well balanced on the stove. The stove is lightweight, good for camping and trekking to save weight , it screws onto a gas canister easily. You can turn the flames up and down easily too but there is no piezo ignition, so had to use a lighter. The wind performance isn't the best, best using a windshield or blocking the wind as much as you can with your body , the stove performance drops in the wind and takes longer to cook in windy conditions. You just pull the support arms out a tad pull the stove stand down and twist , then the arms of the pot stand lock in place when you pull them back and the stove pot stand is then nice and flat to place your pan , frying pan on top. For the price it's a good little stove , it's lightweight, easy to use , but not the best in the wind but good to boil water , cook quick meals outdoors on camping trips.

Amazing little stovr
I put off buying this after reading the review saying it's fiddly and covers you with gas but wish I hadn't! There is a twist involved in folding it but it's fine once you've done it once, and the tap is half on to fold it so as long as you turn it to off before screwing it into the gas cannister (as you should with every mini stove) you're grand. There's been way less gas leaking out that with other stoves I've had. Have been brewing up and cooking all weekend in the hills with this, and it'll definitely be coming with me on many future adventures.

Super lightweight stove
Best advantage is its light weight-nice stove all-round and value for money.

Pretty Dissapointing
I bought this as I was intrigued by the design and wanted to try it out for myself. Unfortunately I didn't get as far as to try it out. When it's properly set up, the pot supports wobble independently of the base. The materials used are excellent, but the design and manufacture is incomplete. It either needs a very fine washer or some sort of washer or. more accurate machining, I have returned mine without even getting a chance to light it. I love all the fire maple polaris stoves and even respect the little brs 3000t which they also manufacture. But this has inherent problems which makeo it somewhat unsafe. Not recommended, it could be so much better and should be for the price.

Lightweight, small and bendy (in a good way bendy) can be moulded into irregular dishes/heaters etc...

Fire-Maple Hornet 2/G3 Heat Exchanger Pot VS BRS/SnowPeak Pot
For the last two years my cook kit has been the ultralight BRS stove and a SnowPeak titanium pot. This combination has been reliable and ultralight, which is important to me as an ultralight backpacker on trips up to 10 days without resupply. The Fire-Maple G3 heat exchanger pot and Hornet 2 stove attracted my attention as a possible way to save on fuel when boiling water for drinks and rehydrating meals. This is a comparison of my old kit and the Fire-Maple combination. I measured the time it took to reach a rolling boil with each system using 500ml of cold tap water with an indoor temperature of 75 degrees, at an elevation of 3300' (I live in the sierra foothills). Weights are actual weights from my digital scale. Time to boiling - Fire-Maple: 76 seconds BRS/SnowPeak: 167 seconds Weights G3 pot and lid 164gm 5.7oz SnowPeak pot and lid 116gm 4.0oz Hornet 2 stove 47gm 1.6oz BRS stove 25gm I was impressed by the difference in boil times, which I attribute to the G3 heat exchanger pot. There is noticeably less heat coming up the sides of the pot with that system and after two boils the 30 locations where the heat exchanger is welded to the pot bottom could be clearly seen as discoloration on the inside bottom of the pot, which is where the heat transfer occurs. One boil with the Fire-Maple system used 7gm of fuel from my half-empty 100gm fuel cannister. Aside from the 2.5oz weight penalty of the Fire-Maple system there are no other drawbacks. The advantages are quicker boiling times and less fuel consumption, I like the insulated handle which also flips up to secure the lid when not in use, and the stove seems sturdy and well built with a larger support area than the BRS. The stove/pot combination is also very stable even with the small 100gm fuel cannister and automatically centers on the pot due to the slots in the heat exchanger. Neither stove will simmer well, they are meant to be used only full blast for boiling water.
