Product Description SITKA GEAR SITKA Collection BORN FROM STORMS The gear hunters needโnever to beat the elements, but to ride alongside them. Since 2006, SITKA has been the pioneer and innovator in technical hunting gear, helping you stay warmer, dryer and more protected from the elements. They leverage exclusive world-class technologies like GORE-TEX and WINDSTOPPER to enable this protection from the elements. SITKA gear is built to work together in skin-to-shell systems to keep you comfortable, and easily layers from early-season heat to late-season frozen conditions. For optimum stealth, GORE OPTIFADE Concealment technology is used across this entire system. Scientifically engineered to confuse the vision of antelope, elk, and mule deer, it offers maximum concealment when stalking in vegetated terrain. GORE OPTIFADE breaks the mold by using a digitally rendered blend of micro and macro patterns to fool animal vision. Created by a renowned team of camouflage and animal vision experts, this pattern takes into account how elk and mule deer see when looking through vegetation. The Subalpine concealment is designed for engagements of fifty yards or less in vegetation below the treeline. How to Take Your Measurements Sleeve Measure: Bend your elbow and put your hand on your hip. Measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the shoulder and down the elbow to the wrist bone. Chest Size: Take measurement under armpits, around fullest part of chest and shoulder blades. Waist Size: Measure around where you normally wear your pants, keeping the tape measure a bit loose or putting one finger between your body and the tape measure. Inseam: In a standing position, measure from your crotch to where you want your pants to end, breaking at the top of the shoe in the front and just above the heel in the back. Gloves: With hand partially closed, measure over the knuckles, around the hand, excluding the thumb. SYSTEMS Early Season System Stalking through oppressively scorching prairies, scrublands, and deserts demand a system that will keep you protected from the all-day sun while managing moisture to keep you cool and collected for the moment of truth Mid-Season System Ready to perform from September into Spring and ideal for elk, mule deer or bear. The midseason system can be layered up or down to keep you protected from the elements, concealed from your quarry and it will take the worry off your gear leaving you focused on the task at hand Late Season System The Late Season System is built for ultimate protection from unrelenting late season conditions below treeline. Durable windproof and waterproof fabric technologies keep the weather out while insulating layers trap heat in. This system enables you to stay comfortable, concealed and in the field longer through the worst of weather CONCEALMENT Timber The GORE OPTIFADE Concealment Waterfowl Timber pattern isnโt simply ground camo, rather scientifically engineered to confuse the birds vision while in motion from above tricking waterfowl to see nothing. Because water reflects both the brightness of the sky and the dark underside of the canopy, the pattern displays areas of high contrast. As a bird descends closer to the hunter, its environment darkens, which is represented in the patternโs overall darker appearance. Marsh The GORE OPTIFADE Concealment Waterfowl Marsh pattern is designed for layout and blind hunting in the marsh, standing crops, or cut stubble fields. While most patterns are designed as though the bird is on the ground looking at the hunter, the Marsh pattern takes into account with a swirling effect that the birds are usually above the hunter in flight, and are in constant motion. The optimal engagement distance is between 35 yards and 45 degrees and steeper angles. Subalpine The GORE OPTIFADE breaks the mold by using a digitally rendered blend of micro and macro patterns to fool animal vision. Created by a renowned team of camouflage and animal vision experts, GORE OPTIFADE Concealment takes into account how elk and mule deer see when looking through vegetated terrain. GORE OPTIFADE Subalpine is designed specifically for stalking and ambushing ungulates from ground level in vegetated terrain and is optimized for engagement ranges of 50 yards and less. Open Country The GORE OPTIFADE Concealment Open Country technology scientifically engineered to confuse the vision of elk, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats. It offers maximum concealment when stalking among rocks, brush, and scattered trees at ground level. It is designed for engagements of forty yards or less in this terrain. The emphasis is on the larger neutral areas of the pattern (macro-pattern) which are more critical to concealment at the greater engagement ranges imperative to hunting in the backcountry. Undefeated and still protecting Sitka Gear was born from the belief that the experience of hunting is as important โ if not more important โ than the harvest. Going places few people go and enduring weather that keeps most hunters home is the fabric of Sitka Tribe. We live for the uncommon experiences and awe-inspiring moments found through the pursuit. Hunting offers a focus rarely afforded to us in the constant distraction we face in our day-to-day lives. It provides a meaningful connection to the wild around us, and it awakens the wild still within us. This connection grounds us, gives us much-needed perspective, and shapes our lives far beyond a day spent in the field. Review: Great gloves for hunting! - These gloves are great, just like all of the Sitka gear that I have. I noticed that they are quite tight to get on, but once you pass them over your palms, the fit great. It's true that they are quite thin, so they won't keep your hands toasty warm on late-season sits, but they are at least warm for their weight. I like having my index fingers and thumbs exposed for using a cell phone, or for better feel on a trigger, etc. I would recommend these gloves, with the caveat that you will have to have another means of keeping your hands warm when it's very cold. Review: Great camo gloves - While these gloves are for hunting, I use them for photography - these gloves do exactly what i was i hoping for - leaving two critical fingers exposed to handle the camera. I would use these in most typical weather situations but probably not in temps below freezing

Great
I can't speak highly enough of Sitka gear! I have their base layers, gloves, balaclava, hat, shirt, stratus jacket and stratus pants in the elevated ii pattern. The deer have so much trouble seeing me and the gear that has gore tech in it stops the cold wind from penetrating. Everything has been worth the price tag in my opinion. I love that they have tall sizes everything fits perfectly which is unusual for me since I'm tall (6' 2") and skinny. Edit: 12-15-2020... the seams on the side of the glove for my left hand split open. I contacted customer service and my interactions went smoothly they asked for some photos. After they reviewed the photos they sent me a new pair :)

Not as pictured, Overall, nice gloves.
Not as pictured. Missing the orange Sutka branding on top of glove. Still really nice gloves. My husband has long slender hands and the large was snug on him but he thinks he can just break them in. They fit the length of his hands perfectly.

Great gloves, love them.
These arenโt super warm gloves, but enough to take the chill off on a brisk day. They are super comfortable, though they run a bit large (I am an XL in Under Armour gloves and a Medium in these). The only improvement I wish they would make is to only cutoff the thumb and index finger on the trigger/release hand. It would be great if you had to select left/right and one glove was normal full coverage. Still, like everything Sitka does, well worth the price and very high quality.

Great for Bow Season
I bought these as a gift for my father and he uses them for bow hunting season. In colder climates you may want to consider something a bit thicker.

I wore these gloves for two entire seasons now, and I couldn't be happier!
I wore these gloves for two entire seasons now, and I couldn't be happier! They are the perfect combination of having a lightweight early season glove, but still retaining the dexterity and convenience of not wearing gloves. Using a phone or other electronics, even with "touchscreen gloves", are still a pain; but not with these gloves! I wear these for the entire season, using a hand muff with some hand warmers in the late season. I like to wear lightweight gloves throughout the entire year, and these are the best of the best! I used them very roughly for two years now, and they still look basically brand new! When it comes to quality, function, and looks, you can't do any better than Sitka.

Falling apart after three weeks of moderate use
I know by all means that these arenโt supposed to be heavy duty gloves - but with simple use turkey hunting the plastic branding is falling off and the seams are tearing apart. Love the brand, not thrilled with this product.
