My family are vegans and I am sadly gluten intolerant - this is such a wonderful product. Affordable, great tasting with great texture that can be used to make essentially anything you normally would have used meat for. At last! an Affordable and appreciated product in a vegetarian protein meat substitute.
A real value. Compared price per ounce it is the best bargin out there. Flavorless, it allows for versitillity in cooking various dishes, easy to use, and much less expensive than other flavored (and not) products. Great storage life also. Excellet protein source Can be substituted for ground meat of many kinds as it can be flavored with endless combinations of spices. Fun to explore the possibilities. Great, higher fiber alternative to meat!
Love using this product so much! We have been cutting back on red meat for health reasons, and TVP helps my carnivore husband with this teansition, immensely. I add this, along with lentils and spices, to make an alternative to ground been for tacos shephard's pie, soup beans, and others. The taste is VERY mild, and the product absorbs the flavor of the dish very well.

Good, but expensive
Good product, but expensive. It's nice that it's basically shelf stable and you just add fat and water to rehydrate it. I've used it blended with a bunch of spices to create something approximating taco meat. I like the convenience, but it's comparable in price to beef which, for me, is hard to justify.

Love this textured vegetable protein. I add taco seasoning and salsa. Makes great tacos. Can’t wait to add it to chili this winter. Buying more today!
