What are bristles made of

The bristles are plastic or some other man-made material. Definitely not made from a natural source as they would never stand up to the rigours of daily washing up. This little brush is fabulous, it really works a treat and the bristles retain their shape wash after wash. The handle is made of bamboo and is coated in a tough water-proof coating and is practically ergonomic.

Can you put this in boiling water to disinfect?

Sorry I do not own a dish washer. The Handle is not wood so placing in the top basket should be alright. Or using an old saucepan place it in to boiling water that way, if it stays intact then it will go into dishwasher ok. I personally soak my washing up brushes etc in a container with the correct amount of baby sterilising tablets.

What’s the thing called that you put the washing up liquid in to sit the brush in?

It's just a brush, nothing else.

Is it safe scrub veggies with this brush?

Well that's what I've been using it for and I'm not dead yet (and I'm onto my second brush)!
