The Powerbreather takes fresh air from the top, while you exhale from the bottom, making it 100% pure oxygen, not mixed with Co2 like traditional snorkels. The tubes bring air in only, no water, so you do not need to clear the tubes of water, just inhale normally. Ideal for distance swimmers, those learning proper stroke, up to professional level trainers. Works in open water, Ocean water with rough conditions, and even flip turns in a pool. The sport PB0101 does not include the accessories for aid in flip turning. The lap PB0101 has all accessories except the extended speed vents for waves or sinking low in your stroke. The wave includes everything. Kit contents: 1x Powerbreather PB01; 2x speed vent s (standard); 2x flip cap (for flip turn or open water); 1x blind cap (for flip turn); 1x case . Review: No out-of-air emergencies anymore - I have now used this snorkel for 10 months, and it works very well and is very useful. I swim 6 times a week, with a focus on front crawl (shorter distances, sprinting), and the Powerbreather is used with every session. For the kicking exercises (arm stretched out in front as the standard), and also to improve the technique, that is, with full stroke, concentrating on keeping the head as still as possible, and watching (at least from time to time) the quality of the pull. The advantages over the standard swimming snorkels are: 1. Constant good quality of air coming in -- while with the standard snorkels, if you start breathing heavily, then CO2 starts building up, and soon you have to stop. 2. The snorkel is fixed, and doesn't come off -- while with the other snorkels, especially if you go really strong, easily it becomes unbalanced, and you have to stop (sooner or later). This model comes with (additional) medium resistance ("powerbreather"), which is also very useful, to strengthen the breathing apparatus -- but for the beginner the newer models now come without resistance, which is recommended for them: getting used to a snorkel takes a while, and with the additional resistance, that might be too much for the beginner. Review: No more feeling like I’m going to drown - This is an unbelievable product. It has completely revolutionised my swimming as before I bought this I could only swim 10 lengths without stopping basically because my breathing technique is terrible. Now after using this for the last 12 months I can swim a 5K in two hours without having to stop. The customer service team are great too. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to use swimming to increase their fitness and stamina. According to my Garmin my fitness age is 10 years younger than my actual age thanks to Power Breather.

Swimming will never be the same again
I wanted to swim a lot in an outdoor pool over the summer for the exercise - without being hindered by my poor breathing technique and avoid ingesting dubious water (not the cleanest pool with regular dead flies, and connected to a baby pool). Considered a centre-line snorkel but wasn't keen on the 'dead air' in the snorkel when going for a full on cardio swim (as opposed to a relaxing snorkel in some clear sea). This device took about a minute to get used to - and I haven't looked back! Fresh air and able to swim uninterrupted for ages. I can't imagine swimming without it now! Reading some blogs beforehand i was a bit concerned about it being fixed on the head in case of emergency/panic but the reality is that it can come off quickly if you really need it to - and I think it's suitable for beginners as well. Definitely well worth the investment

Really difficult
I had high hopes for this, it seems like a great idea. I normally swim just under a mile, three times a week but I have a disc problem in my neck which can make front crawl difficult. So, having arrived I tried it on at home and it fitted nice and seemed fine to breath through. For some reason when it's in the water it's totally different. It's like having to suck really hard to get the air in. No problems exhaling. It's so hard I couldn't finish a whole length. I tried a few times in case it was a question of getting used to it but i just can't swim with it on, it wasn't uncomfortable to wear, just really hard to breath. As soon as I took it out of the water it was fine again. I'm assuming its something to do with the valve but I really don't know.

Best snorkel ever tried by master swimmer
Fantastic snorkel, way better than the ones used in fin swimming or the full-face ones I have tried before. No need for excessive blowing to get rid of water in the mouth piece, because simply there just isn't any! Excellent for flip turns too, although that may take a few tries. Doesn't get in your line of vision and is very stable on your head with its fastening system. I use it daily in my training and can't imagine switching to any other snorkel for any reason.

Great product
This product is so much better than the singular snorkel for lap swimming. I would highly recommend this and the customers service from Maxtrak is exceptional.

Not good.
The only reason I give this 2 stars is because I'm generally reticent to leave a 1 star review for anything / anyone. So we'll say 2 stars for effort. Please note! I only got 4 laps out of this before I stopped using it. I swim in a 50 meter pool, and two or three times when I got to the centre of the pool, the mouthpiece filled with water. I had to rush to take it off my head so I could get a breath of air. I followed the instructions carefully — tested it before use etc. I wouldn't recommend this product at all.

My experience with the PowerBreather
I'm a senior citizen. I swim twice a week with fins and snorkel in a 25-meter pool. I do no flip turns and only kick as I have a bum shoulder. I do a mile-plus each session I bought the PowerBreather (Lap Edition) for two reasons. First, I felt it was better to breathe in fresh air that than to re-breathe the excelled air. Second and more importantly, I wanted to strength my breathing muscles. Since getting the PB, I start my swim with the PB and then switch to the regular snorkel to finish my workout. Here's my experience with the PowerBreather after about 8-weeks of use. 1. The PowerBreather lives up to its name of being a power breather. At first, I could do only five laps with it before switching back to a regular snorkel to complete my mile. It has taken me 11 sessions to build up to where I can now do a half-a-mile with the PB. A younger person probably would not need as much time to get acclimated to the PB 2. When I switch back to the regular snorkel after using ther PB, my breathing seems effortless. And I notice that I'm swimming harder and faster. 3. Also after my swim workout, I'm do feel as fatigued as I use to. 4. I notice that the mouth piece of the PB is far superior to that of my regular snorkel. It just fits and creates a better seal with my mouth than the traditional snorkel does. 5. One the few occasions when I get water in the PB, it is easily expelled when I exhale, and I don't miss a beat. 6. This may apply just to me, but I notice I swim better with the PB when I inhale near the max but don't exhale as hard. I have two negative things to say about the PB. 1. Sometime a high pitch whistling sound comes from one of the tubes. I wrote to PowerBreather through their website about this -- they're in Germany -- but got no response. I still do not know if the whistle is inherent in the design or if I have a defective "Speed Vent." The noise only come from one side. 2. Because of the whistling sound, I wanted to return the PB. I got a Return Authorization through Amazon easy enough but when I went to return it by UPS, I found it would have cost me $40. That's because it was going to Spain. So I kept the PB and put up with the occasional whistle. Conclusion: I'm satisfied with the PB. If for any reason it got lost, I'd immediately get another. I think the PB is a great health improvement aid and no doubt would improve a person's swimming. The PB is not for everybody, however, because it is noticeably harder to breathe with it than with a traditional snorkel. To use it effectively takes a little persistence.

Respiratore altamente valido consigliato
