Perfection!
Everyone knows that Biltong is to a South African as dirty nappies are to a teething baby, however, what South Africans do not know, is that immigrating to a new country, will make you realise exactly how much you miss biltong!!! I mean, really, really miss it! So, I geared myself up, watched every single youtube video, googled all the biltong making recipes available on the internet, and tried my hand at the whole black pepper corns, coriander, salt and vinegar advise. I failed, miserably.... and then I found THIS! Now let me tell you how life changing this has been. So, there I was, geared with my meat and spices, ready to magically transform from Plain Jane to Butch the Biltong maker. At first I had a hard time doing this the way it was meant to be done, simply because of the aroma of this spice filling up my entire home. Mind over matter I kept telling myself.... matter won the first 11 rounds, but then the mind stepped in, and then I was going like a taxi in the yellow lane on the N1 highway. There was absolutely no stopping me! By the time hubby got home, the biltong was hanging in the biltong maker, and our little home away from home smelled like the local butchery back in SA. This was the day I was crowned as the best wife ever. Pros: This is the BEST spice ever, has the ability to cure any homesick feeling, and is super easy to use. Cons: It takes a LOT of skill to not lick the plate in which you left the meat to marinate in.

Savoury, course ground seasoning
I use this after the vinegar soak As a pre-drying seasoning. It’s course and sticks best then. After the drying, I post-season with Freddy hersch. Together these seasonings deliver everything you need

Delicious!
We make biltong with this product consistently. We have went through numerous bags of it. it taste amazing. Really gives it that authentic flavor. My only critique and this is probably just a personal preference but it could definitely use some more coriander in it. Overall best biltong tongue spice that I have found in America.

Einwandfreies Gewürz!
Achtung: es handelt sich nur um Biltong-Gewürz. Wir nutzen es mit magerem, gutem Rindfleisch. In dünnen Scheiben, dann in Apfel- oder Kräuter-Essig eingelegt, anschließend gewürzt und langsam getrocknet. Schmeckt mir persönlich sogar besser als die fertigen Varianten, und ist für die Menge wirklich günstig!
