A perfect compass for my son's school maths. Nice solid construction and the fittings that allow a regular pencil to be used are a good addition. I would definitely recommend this for a Year 7 pupil (or indeed anyone needing a compass)

Great value for money

Overall pleased with the quality of this compass, purchased for simple work diagrams. Only gripe, the needle has a blunted point which means it can be tricky keeping the centre point of the circle in place.

Does what it says on the tin

The Good …. Ok, it arrived on time, well, almost. All safe in its nice little box. Feels quite strong and stable. Should hold a good circle right. Wrong! The Bad …. This compass is a mixed bag of good and bad. The needle point is so blunt it slips. Remember the real compasses that you can press gently into the board and didn’t slip, sharp as heck so you learned not to stick your self as a kid. These new ones are more dangerous as a youngster will press harder and more likely to slip. I’m not a youngster but do have grandchildren. Can we go back and not have a nanny state please. Safety doesn’t have to be compromised, education and awareness is far better taught than taking away useful products. Thought of the day over. On with the review. I really like the fact you can change to using a pen with it but, it’s so fiddly to do. The screw is tiny and with no retainer while you change it, it gets dropped. I dropped it twice. Imagine that on a floor or when you’re older or have dexterity issues. Oh and then if you’ve changed it, you can’t put it back in the box so you have to change it again. I could be wrong but the pen holder feels like metal but they then use a plastic screw that you can put to much leverage on, you know where that’s gonna lead. It was cheap at £6 so I’ll find a use for it but won’t be changing its use and will be replacing the screw. Long and short of it. It could be good but sadly, as an experienced user of this type of product I can’t recommend it as safe or truly useful.

Good, sturdy compass - easy to use

The compass came the next day, not easy to use with pens if looking for precision because the fixing is a universal type , not thread specific, so cannot screw in a pen for acccurate drafting, I work with 0.1mm pens occasionally😂

Der Zirkel liegt gut in der Hand, ist stabil und hat ein Etui, indem er sicher verstaut liegt. Unglaublich gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Mitschüler waren ganz neidisch und fragten, woher der wäre.

Perfecto para evitar tentaciones y accidentes. - Sus medidas son adecuadas para manos pequeñas. Por lo demás es un conjunto muy senzillo, con unos materiales y un estuche muy básico, pero perfectamente funcional.
