I have used this all week and think these pencils are wonderful. I was worried that they would write too light after the reviews, but I have not had that problem at all. I am curious if it will wear into a large rounded tip, but so far, it is still sharp. The weight feels normal in my hand. It is being used in the field, so it has been dropped in a driveway, a parking lot and in the grass, and doesn’t have any damage. I like that it has a cap, so it doesn’t write in my safety vest. The grip is similar to a painted pencil. I wish it had a refillable spin up eraser. That is the only improvement I could think of.

First impression. This "feels" very nice for writing. It doesn't seem to bee quite as smooth as my usual mechanical pencils but it's not bad. On paper it writes more line an H or 2H pencil than an HB or #2; much harder and produces a lighter line. I am curious about how long one of the nibs will last and how well the writing will hold up on paper. It certainly does not smear easily, which is what I would expect based on the apparent harness.

This will not replace your standard pencil with sketching ability, and it is not very dark, but it is great for the bottom of you purse or a busy drawer because it has an unbreakable "lead". No draging it out only to find you now have to look for your sharpener. (I am always loosing my sharpener!) Do you have someone that pushes so hard on their pencil that thye keep breaking the tip? Get this for them! Yes it is erasable, but if you press hard enough to make it darker, it will resist erasing all the way. So be aware. I like the look and feel of it, and it fits a standard finger grip if you need one. I like that it has a cap and that the "lead" is replaceable. And cheap to get extras. All in all, I am glad I bought it. Give it a try!

The pencils are interesting but the tip is so fragile that I just dropped it from 1 ft high and the tip shattered. Once the tip is shattered, you can barely write good because of the branch. Be careful when you are using them!

Smooth to write

I bought these as a gift for my husband who is an avid note-taker. For the price, I was a little skeptical but I must say I am incredibly pleased with this purchase (as is he). The pencils are super sleek, have a good weight, and are easy to use. The only caveats is that the tips can break easily if they're dropped on a hard surface and the pencil will be a lighter color of closer to a number 3-5 pencil rather than a number 2 pencil. For the price, I would say the caveats are easy to overlook.

It makes a faint mark. That's it. Go to the garage, get a nail out, use it as a pencil, it's roughly the same. I mean unless I'm somehow using it wrong.... I'd take a picture but I can't find either of the pens. I gave one to my Mom on Mother's day, she used it and gave it back to me. My mother, gave it back to me after trying it. She gave it back!!! She could have waited till I left the room and thrown it away, she could've tossed it in her desk and never thought of it again but she didn't. She used it once, and handed it back to me. While I was humiliated and somewhat emasculated, it took me 47 years, but of all the garbage I've made and bought for her over the years, she never gave any of it back to me. You ready for the real kicker? You better sit down. I just started dating a woman. It was her birthday, she is an artist, she really digs junk like this. I gave it to her. She used it, and HANDED IT BACK TO ME!!! No, she was not there with my Mom, I didn't tell her about it, she does not know my Mom. The first object I've purchased for her and yes, she likes me quite a bit, she handed me back the pen after using it. If I gave her a cheap Dollar Store rose, she would have kept it. This "pen" functions sooo poorly my mother and my girlfriend both gave the pen back to me. Have you ever had a gift given back to you? It hurts.

Pretty cool, just wished it wrote darker. I've always been a pencil person and enjoy trying new brands. Was hoping to use this as my business meeting pencil, but it just writes too lightly. Takes a noticeable increase in pressure than a normal pencil to have the same level of darkness.

As advertised, used regularly

Der Stift ist aus Metall und sieht schon mal sehr edel aus. Man kann damit wunderbar zeichnen oder in einem Dokument Randnotizen machen. Da ich solche Stifte schon kenne, weiß ich, dass die Deckungskraft sehr gering ist, da sich der Stift kaum abnutzt. Für knapp 6€ im Doppelpack, mehr als günstig. Auch Ersatzspitzen (20er Pack) gibt es für den gleichen Preis, sensationell. Ich liebe diesen Stift, gleicht er doch einem Handschmeichler. Eine Schutzkappe ist drauf, jedoch sollte man den Stift nicht fallen lassen. Schon gar nicht ohne Schutzkappe, da er sehr schnell vom Tisch rollt. Die Rückseite ist abgeschrägt, was sich gut als Lesestift (Zeile im Dokument nachverfolgen) eignet, oder aber auch um etwas glatt zu streichen.
