The important measurements are the distances between the retaining bolts through the door and distances between the keyhole, doorhandle hole and bolt holes. the full length of this handle is approx 9.5 inches. 240 mm

What size / kind of cassete spring goes with this handle? The thickness / depth of this handle seems to be small so previous one is not fitting ?

This handle does not have a spring. The spring mechanism is in the door lock unit.

Is this handle suitable for a left or right door opening

It is suitable for both. I only replaced the handles on the Right Hand outward opening leaf of my French doors (viewed from inside), but I have just looked and the handles would equally work on my Left Hand leaf too. I have in fact I have been considering replacing the other pair too, and wouldn't have hesitated except the Left Hand leaf is only used less than 10 x a year and is still in perfect working order.

No. The handles can be used for left or right opening doors ax the spring is in the locking mechanism.
