I used this to isolate a propane leak on my RV. I loaned it to my in law to sniff out a gas leak on his furnace. It worked great on both. Problem solved easily. It's loud enough and has the lights that increase as the leak gets closer. Easy to use and well worth the cost.

Works great exactly how, when, and where you need it to! Sensitive enough to detect a leak without causing unnecessary alarm. Easy to set up and use immediately because it came with batteries. This product saved my life!

I found the detector to be reasonably sensitive. Not as sensitive as the human nose. But, then it doesn’t have to be. Its purpose is to locate the source of the leak, which it does quite well. Readability, reliability, portability and compatibility are excellent. The instructions are clear and easy to read.

Tried the soapy water on new gas line connection. No bubbles but I got a faint odor of gas. Tried this detector on sensitive setting and alarm went off. Well worth the money

This little thing worked great! We recently installed a gas stove that we converted over to propane. We knew there was a small leak, but no idea exactly “where” the leak was. We called an appliance repair tech who said the entire manifold would need to be replaced which was going to cost us over $500. That sounded ridiculous to us. We decided to try and find the small leak and see if we could fix it ourselves (my husband is very handy). This inexpensive little detector found exactly where the leak was and we were able to replace just the orifice where the leak was coming from and now, no more leak. This saved us from having to spend a lot of money on a service call. Would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this to help check for gas leaking when we installed a new gas water heater in our house. It's one of those tools that you may not use all the time but it's great to have around just in case. The warning sounds are loud enough to hear easily. The battery lasts. It's a great tool to have around just for the sake of safety. Being able to detect a leak just in case. It is simple to use and works great. We are pleased with the purchase for sure.

I think this item quite literally saved the lives of my family. I smelt gas and no one believed me. The boiler was recently serviced, within the last month. This device alarmed in the exact location I could smell gas. So then we had the national gas emergency team out and they initially didn't believe me either but thanks to this device I held my ground saying it had alarmed exactly where I smelt gas and they waited longer, finally detecting it very strongly and sealed off our gas. We then had the local heating engineers out to see what was wrong and they initially said there's nothing wrong with this boiler, no gas leak and told me CO is odourless. I explained it was this natural gas alarm that was picking up the gas and that the previous engineer had to wait to detect it once the boiler was on. This engineer then discovered that we had a faulty gas safety valve and highly flammable gas filling our enclosed boiler room. The heating engineer said we were extremely lucky I detected it and that this could have ended very differently. I thank this tiny device. Quite literally the best purchase I have ever made as my two very young children sleep in the room beneath the boiler.
