These are good, a nice firm material so it holds without maring. Fit well but the magnets could be stronger.

These have worked very well for my shop and strike a nice balance between the cheapest magnetic vise jaw covers and the more expensive premium options. Most of my use is for gunsmithing, firearm cleaning, and the occasional fabrication project. Because of that, I keep the grooved jaws installed on my vise almost permanently. My workflow is a little different than some users. If I'm working with flat stock, square tubing, or sheet goods, I usually clamp those directly to my workbench. Where these jaws really earn their keep is when working with round objects. They've been particularly useful for: * gun barrels * round bar stock * cleaning and maintenance work * light gunsmithing tasks * holding cylindrical parts securely The grooved profile does a great job of gripping round workpieces without requiring excessive clamping pressure. Parts stay put, but I haven't experienced any damage or marring to the surfaces I'm working on. What I like: * strong magnetic attachment * secure grip on round objects * protects finished surfaces * easy to install and remove * good value for the money For my purposes, they hit a sweet spot. They don't feel cheap, but they also don't cost enough to make me question the purchase. If you regularly work with barrels, tubing, round stock, or other cylindrical parts, these are a worthwhile upgrade for a bench vise. They've become one of those shop accessories that I don't think much about anymore because they're always installed and always doing their job.

These would seem like a good idea....but they lack a lower lip to hold the inserts from moving around when working on items clamped in them. I guess perhaps they were too lightweight for what I wanted to use them for...I'll keep looking!

Could use a stronger magnet however does the job.

I don’t often write reviews but for this product I will. Great quality, unique design I only wish it would have been on the market years ago. My only question is does this company offer pad replacements? I go through a set a year on average.

Use daily in sawmill maintenance shop for hydraulic cylinder rebuilds. Work very well. Had them about 6 months now, holding up just fine. Will likely buy a second set.
