Heay duty charger
This charge controller is very heavy duty. It also weighs a lot, you'll need a hefty place for it. It works great. The only thing is there isn't a options for farenheit on the battery temp. Other than that it works great with my lithium batteries

Great charger for solar.
Great charger for solar. It's quite on account it doesn't use a fan.

Costly
This was a lot more than I wanted to spend but I was very leery of buying something cheap from a foreign country. So I took a chance and I'm glad I did. It works perfectly fine. I haven't had any problem with it. It seems to work exactly how it's supposed to. The only reason for docking a star is because there was no explanation in the manual of the abbreviations used on the digital display. I had to call customer support and their rather lackadaisical response made me wonder for a moment if they really knew what they were talking about. For reference, my system includes 4 230-watt solar panels, a 200ah LiFePo4 Plus battery and a 3,000-watt pure sine wave inverter.

Purchased this unit to back up / spare for my 80 amp unit.
I have the 80 amp unit, and I love it. My 40 amp unit will serve as a spare, and I'll also use it in my van too !

Beware of Lemons: AIMs Solar Charge Controllers—High Costs with Low Reliability
I purchased two identical solar charge controllers, but only one functions as expected. The other was faulty right from the start, requiring immediate return for repairs, and subsequently broke again. Despite claims from AIMs that the issues stem from my system, this is not the case. Further research reveals numerous similar complaints about this company online. Additionally, the advertised remote management software does not work. When attempting to use the warranty, I found that not only does the buyer pay for shipping of these heavy units, but AIMs also frequently claims that issues are not covered under the warranty. I have since switched to a different brand and recommend that potential buyers consider doing the same.
