Very happy with this purchase, with over 40 yrs in repairing and building electronics I was dubious of buying at the price and the look of the kit, but wanted something portable while being fully covered, I bought this kit along with a helping hands to keep in the car and save carrying my house kit which is in a larger case about. I have to say, the Iron works well, is fast to reach temperature and has to yet not failed to please, the selection of tips fit well and cover all normal soldering jobs, and the flat with the upper temp makes desoldering quick and simple. Every bit as good as my workstation up to now. The kit comes with all you would normally need but I added a short piece of sucker silicone tube on the desolder pump to prevent the tip melting as they often do with the plastic tips. The stand is sturdy enough and the sponge plenty big enough for purpose (a dab of glue under it makes it stay in the stand and stops it getting lost). I have used the kit around 20 times totalling maybe 30 hours so far without any problems arising other than to refill the solder holder. Highly recommend for experienced and new to soldering alike. Great value for money kit and tidy case for carrying around. As I said, team it with a helping hands its worth it 👍😉

Good quality works well

For the price, this is a great piece of kit. It comes with all the accessories someone who doesn’t do a lot of soldering needs. The stand is great and the case is useful. I really liked how quickly it heats up. It’s way faster than all the other soldering irons I’ve used. The only downside is the solder remover tool is a bit clunky and pretty hard to use one handed. Apart from that, this is great.

Great kit works perfectly

This is a great starter set for using a soldering-iron. Has a great value as you get lots of different heads to use and can adjust the temperature.

Out of the box this kit is brilliant. All the extra bits do the job but the main reason you’d get this I assume would be for the temp control on the iron and the spare tips. Mine works great, I’ve used it to solder lots of guitar components and found it’ll heat up everything to the right temp just fine. Very easy to use. If it holds up over time I honestly couldn’t expect more value for money than this!

Used this iron for multiple years now, durability is great and have not encountered any issues. It does take a small amount of time to heat up (expected), but other than that it is quite a good kit. My one gripe is the cheap solder and the click solder wick included, it doesn't work too well, but I do just consider that an extra to the iron.
