Works perfectly & simple to use
I just purchased this product for our new pool. I've only used it about six times as it's early in the season, but so far so good. It's extremely simple to operate. It took me a couple of minutes to pair the robot with the app, but that's because the instructions don't make it clear which light should be blinking. It's a discreet light with a mobile wifi icon on the unit. That said, I haven't used the app to operate the robot since. The slide button on the device is all you really need to set the mode (floor only or floor+walls), and to start a cleaning session. A lot of spring debris has made its way into the pool over the past couple of weeks, and the Polaris Freedom makes quick work of it during it's 2.5 hour cleaning routine. It's quiet, and hardly noticeable. I've been putting it in as soon as I open the cover to get everything that's settled. Removing it from the pool is simple - either by hand or using the supplied hook. Simply let the water drain as you pull it up, and it's easy to carry around. I typically let it sit on the treads for a few minutes, and then upright for a few more to let it drip dry before putting it on the charger. The hood is transparent, allowing me to see directly into the filter cavity as it's running, which is nice. Removing the filter couldn't be simpler, and it's easy to clean with a hose. It's a fine filter too, capturing a thin layer of dirt/silt in addition to leaves due to all of the recent landscaping work around the pool. The charging base is super simple and has a little reflective window at the bottom so you can see the battery status light while it's charging. I thought I read something about the robot being able to map out the pool to optimize it's cleaning routine - but I haven't seen any evidence of that. It's pattern seems random to me - something I need to look into. All in all, very happy with this purchase. I'll update this review if I run into any issues.

Disappointing considering the name Polaris - Broke in under a year for $1400?
My Polaris wired cleaner was awesome, so I looked into a wireless robotic one. The big plus is it cleans the floor well and is easy to clean. It will grab a lot from a pool (floor only) that "looks" clean. Edit: After well under a year of LIGHT use, the cleaner falls to its back and just spins. Finding help on a weekend? Won't happen on their 800 number, google, nothing. The cons: Doesn't scrub the walls hardly at all, even the easy algae to brush it won't get. You will need to keep scrubbing your pool manually. WiFi doesn't work while underwater, but could if their app developers knew how (and it's easy to do). Polaris needs a reset every time I use the app before starting it. It's a nightmare to fish under the water. There is a lot of potential here, but this version didn't deliver for me, and is wasted potential. The Polaris name means something and I'm sure future versions will get it right. And if the manufacturer is reading this, you can contact me how to help make it better. I am still a fan despite this disappointment. I will just use it to do the floors, and "think" it does the walls, and scrub the walls by hand as I've always done. Kind of puts a heavy price tag on a floor cleaner when there are plenty of off brands that can do that for less money.

Works Great For Me - There's a reason Why!
I purchased the Freedom robot in May of 2023. It has 162 hours of run time with 61 battery charge cycles. I'm in Florida, where the heat and sun is unforgiving. It has performed well since day one and has never skipped a beat. Cable-free is great. I help several friends take care of their pools and a couple of them also have cleaning robots - corded and cordless. Their cleaners have had issues after relatively short periods of time - at around 12 to 18 months. I firmly believe it's because they don't protect it from the elements, or properly maintain it after use. I have a routine that I believe keeps my robot reliable. After every use, I immediately remove it from the pool, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water, tip it at several angles to drain the excess water, let it air dry in the shade, and store it on the charger in the house when not in use. Do not leave it in the pool or outside, especially in the sun. Pool chemicals and the sun dramatically shorten the robot's life and reliability. A couple points on the downside I can mention is the loss of communication with the app when the robot is submerged, and the amount of time required to recharge, but neither are a real issue for me, nor do they affect cleaning performance. Bottom line - remove and rinse after each use and keep it out of the elements when not in use. Try it!

Works on tanning ledge and umbrellas in the pool!
We replaced a Polaris 360 with this Polaris Freedom Cordless robotic cleaner. We are more than pleased with this product. It gets areas that our old Polaris never could get very well including the tanning ledge (14 inches of water with 2 umbrellas )as well as the steps . It also does a good job on the waterline. ( Storms last night with lots of debris). Our pool is 8 ft deep and it has picked up silt we did not even see. The pool is 20 x 40 and the battery time was sufficient to do a great cleaning. The weight is reasonable and not a problem taking it to our storage area for charging. It is easy to manage. Although it is not inexpensive, we are glad we decided on this model.

Better than Nautilus Dolphin and Polaris pressure powered
I love this cordless Polaris inground, pool vacuum. I don’t love how expensive it is but you get what you pay for. I had the plug-in Polaris pressure, powered one where plugs into a return jet type of thing in my inground pool, and it has a motor, I did not want to invest in another one of those just in case the motor breaks. I then got a Nautilis dolphin Electric cord powered one and it worked terribly and I didn’t like having the cord. I saw some bad reviews of this cordless vacuum and they said the filter did not work very well so I found after a lot of research a very fine filtering filter online, check the questions on this page if interested, but honestly how it filters is my best part about this product. I will attach some pictures here and it’s a literally a clump of sand when I didn’t even think I had that much sand in my pool filters, the water very well. I am very impressed of my last Polaris one just basically sucked dirt and debris into this bag but I don’t think it actually filtered. The battery works for about one usage, it takes four hours to charge and about 2.5 hours on full maximum cleaning but then you might be able to use a little bit more, but most likely not. The app is completely unused full, right when the vacuum goes in the water you can’t connect it anymore, so what’s the point lol I wouldn’t even bother downloading it but you do get a reminder when the vacuum is almost done, so I guess that’s good. It does go up the walls but it doesn’t do a tremendous job with algae, so I still have to scrub the walls but I guess that’s understandable if you want something that will clean the walls. I’m honestly not sure which product will do that as every search the lot but if you want one that will pick up leaves and twigs and dirt and filter sand out of your water and one that you don’t have to have a cord for, this is awesome. Just be careful to not leave the battery charging station out in the sun or the rain, I think it is weatherproof, but it says not to put in water or direct sunlight so that means that you have to cover it, if you Google it and look on YouTube, there are bags you can put over it but honestly, I have this dog tent thing for shade that I put over it. Lol, honestly, I do recommend this product and I really enjoy using it!

Battery dead after 2.5 years, replacement as much as a full new unit.
This worked fine for 2.5 years for the most part. A few issues: 1. After about 6 months, the switch on the back stopped working as the magnet corroded. You can use an external magnet to turn the system on and off as a work-around. 2. After 2.5 years, the battery no longer works. They want $1,200 for a replacement battery. Absolutely disgraceful. Cleans well but definitely wouldn't recommend it again for this price, only lasting just over 2 years.

Cutting the cord never felt so good!
Our old corded Polaris kicked the bucket and I scrambled to do some research and find a replacement before we fell too far behind on our pool cleaning. I'm so glad I found the Polaris Freedom! It has been everything we hoped, cleaning our 20x40 pool like a champ and with the added benefit of no annoying cord or hose to get all tangled and twisted 😀 It charges quickly and conveniently on it's docking station, and once I drop it in the pool it goes to work for 2 1/2 hours and cleans every inch of our pool floor, sides and waterline. When the cycle is complete, it comes to the waterline and waits patiently like a good robot until I come pick it up. I understand the complaints about the Wi-fi connectivity, but I didn't expect it to stay connected while it was UNDERWATER, so I have zero issues with it at all. Overall this is definitely the best Polaris we've owned over the last 17 years of being pool owners, and I would highly recommend it.

Did not pick up leaves from bottom of pool
I liked that I was able to put it together and get it going, but was extremely disappointed that I wasted so much money on a product that did not make a dent in the soggy leaves at the bottom of my pool. I keep it covered with an automatic pool cover, but quite a few leaves blew in during a late winter replacement of the old pool cover on a windy day. There was no clogging of the "brushes." They simply were ineffective at swishing the slippery leaves into the bin. I took video and photos of before, during and after, which I tried to upload. I will add them later if the site allows it. This 70-something grandmother was so hoping to have her pool working by Mother's Day, after a year not being able to use it due to repairs.

Well good unit. Cleans well
Unit works very well for 35 x16 kidney shape 8.5 deep pool. Unit cleaned the pool but was spent at the end. Ie. one cleaning per charge. Doesn’t always surface for pickup in the shallow end but maybe I didn’t get to it in time..Only communicates when at the surface which is clearly indicated in the instructions. So when it says it’s done, you have about 10 minutes to retrieve or it sinks. But you have a supplied hook attachment for your pole to retrieve.

Restocking fee for trying out product and not being satisfied.
I guess it’s my ignorance but I assumed all Amazon purchases were covered by a 30 day full money return policy. But alas 30% restocking fee if opened applies. My review was it was a good little robot. Basket size was smaller than my old unit but it just didnt work that great with my sloped walls. Easy to charge with the magnetic charging makes it easy to take on and off charging unit. Being a fully electric battery unit you just have to master the art of fishing it out.

Does a great job!
No regrets here! A very good product. Has the ability to do the bottom of the pool including the sides. I high.y recommend this product.

Effective and Cordless
Our Polaris 3510WD finally seized it’s motor block after 5 years. We chose another Polaris because of our history with the brand. My son’s in a wheelchair and he asked if we could lose the cord, so he didn’t have to maneuver around it. That led to exploring numerous offerings. I wasn’t comfortable with the cheaper offshore brands because of inconsistent reviews. We chose the Freedom model. Setting it up was simple. It only has a few cleaning options to chose. My first few cleanings weren’t very impressive. Our pool is a modified kidney with about 32 feet of length. On a whim I changed the program to floor only and I skipped the side walls. That worked the best. It follows its timer effectively and unfortunately parks itself in the deep end. That makes retrieving it a pain. It’s also not the fastest at charging needing over three hours for a full charge. The last complaint is that it has a small basket to catch debris with no fine filtration so it won’t catch particles. Overall I’m pleased with the Freedom and I can live with it’s shortcomings.
