My new favorite!
I’ve been trying to find a protein powder that’s clean, and this is it! My only con: it gets super foamy when you use a blender bottle. There’s worse things than that though, in my opinion. It dissolves well though! Pros: it’s clean label certified, GMP quality assured, 3rd party tested, non-gmo, no pesticides, no hormones, only 5 ingredients, 21g per scoop, AND it tastes good! I personally have not experienced any stomach upset. I do feel like this helps my muscle recovery and I will be purchasing more in the near future. Well done on a clean protein!

You get what you pay for. Some things are more important than money.
I've lifted weights for a good chunk of my life, but fell off the wagon. Recently I started back up along with taking protein supplements. One day I stumbled across the "Clean Label" project as I was researching other products. I was amazed to find that the protein powder I had been taking for years (a well-known, name brand) had rated very poorly for BPAs (a known endocrine disruptor). Basically, this is a chemical commonly found in many plastics that is linked to cancer and developmental disorders. I was taken aback. This wasn't even the worst of all of the proteins. Some had neurotoxic mercury, lead, or even just didn't have the advertised amount of protein in them. Maybe I shouldn't have been too surprised - the entire supplement industry is not regulated by the FDA. So, I went onto the clean label project's list of best proteins, and found this: Puori's PW1 Vanilla Whey Powder. It was expensive...double what I paid for a 2lb jug of my previous, however you can't put a price on what you put into your body. The quality is great. It tastes excellent by itself, even better if you don't mind combining your shake in a blender with fruit (like bananas). It's vanilla - which means it's also neutral enough be combined with your favorite recipes for an extra protein zip. It blends well even in a basic shaker cup...not chalky, or clumpy like some others -- and yes, I've tried a lot over 15 years...I can count 20+ different brands off the top of my head...this is pretty good. I buy it though because it's been independently tested to have what it claims to, and NOT give me lead poisoning (it's funny we have to even say that, thanks Congress/FDA). I buy it because there are only 5 ingredients in it. My ONLY criticism besides the price is the lack of flavors. I would really like to see a banana cream version of this, so I don't have to spike my protein shakes with the sugar from actual bananas. Keep doing what you're doing Puori!

Good, clean protein powder
This review is for the vanilla flavor. I love how pure Puori products are and how transparent they are about what goes into them. I'm sad that I'm a little disappointed with this protein powder, though. My complaints are that it foams up a lot when I shake it up with water in my blender bottle and that it's tough to fully blend. There's always a big clump of powder at the bottom of my bottle no matter how much I shake it. I usually resort to using a spoon to scrape it out and break it up. I read on here that someone uses an immersion blender with this powder, so I'll have to try that. I also read that the chocolate flavor doesn't foam and blends better, so maybe it's just the vanilla. Otherwise, I enjoy the taste -- it's sweet but not disgustingly, overly fake sweet -- and I enjoy knowing I'm putting a good quality protein powder into my body. Give it a try for a clean protein powder, but maybe try a flavor other than vanilla.

Absolutely Delicious. The Bad Reviews Are Ridiculous!!!
I NEVER write reviews on Amazon because I usually just don’t care enough or the product is “meh” but it works. I had to come and write a review for this protein powder as I almost didn’t order it because of the ridiculous bad reviews. Literally what are people talking about!? “It froths too much” Sorry are you complaining about the deliciously creamy and milkshake like texture of the product? Do you just hate good things? “It tastes bad” I suppose taste is subjective but this is the LEAST offensive flavor I have ever consumed. I put one scoop in a glass of oat milk and gulped it down like a sweet treat I’m not supposed to have. I’ve trained as a sommelier, my palette is pretty fricking impeccable, and there are zeroooooo traces of any chemical taste. It literally tastes like less sugary vanilla milkshake. Think maybe 2-5% the sugar content of a McDonald’s vanilla shake. Perhaps the only thing one can comment on is that yes, it must be shaken not stirred but that instruction is clearly indicated on the package. And the powder itself is a bit…sticky? It can easily get everywhere. But I’d take this things any day over the usual nastiness of most protein powders on the market. I think it’s worth the ridiculous almost $80 price tag.

Fave
Been using this for years. Clean and doesn't cause stomach issues. Tastes good enough. Blended foamy in my old blenders but upgraded to vitamex and tastes like a store bought shake. Mixes good with greek yogurt too with a spoon. Tastes like pudding. I hate when I travel bc other powders mess with my stomach. Highly recommend.

1 Star: Greed Outpaced the Quality
I’ve been a loyal customer for three years, and after a decade of testing every powder on the market, I can confidently say yours tastes the best. However, this is officially my final purchase. There is zero issue with the product itself, but your pricing has become completely detached from reality. To charge this much for a mere 2 lbs in the current economy isn't just a "price hike"—it’s a slap in the face to long-term customers. I’ve already found three competing brands that match your purity certifications and clean taste for 20–30% less. I loved the brand, but Puori is no longer a value proposition; it’s just overpriced. You’ve officially priced yourself out of my pantry. Bottom line: Not worth it. Goodbye.

Longtime Customer, Quality Has Changed
agree with the recent reviews that something has changed with this product. I have been using Puori Whey for about 3 years and was willing to keep buying it because the protein quality seemed good. The packaging has always been an issue, but I did not mind as much because I liked the product itself. However, my most recent order from January, 2026 was noticeably different. The protein does not mix well anymore and leaves lumps. When drinking it, the texture is hard to swallow, which makes it very unpleasant compared to what I was used to before. The bigger issue is that the quality seems to have gone downhill at the same time the price has increased significantly. I previously paid around $59 for the 1-pack, and now it is around $79. That is a major increase, and it is very frustrating when the product quality feels worse, not better. I used to trust this brand and was a repeat customer for years, but after this recent order, I am very disappointed and may need to look for another protein powder.

Worth it!
Worth it! I was on the hunt for a rare whey protein: no stevia or monk fruit (I don’t like the taste), and clean/tested for heavy metals. The flavor profile of the vanilla is so good and way better than other brands. It’s a big markup from the brands I was using but the peace of mind and flavor is worth it.
