Amazing Thickener
I've used CMC powder in the past as a thickener for liquid soaps. To be quite honest, it didn't produce the nicest consistency on its own. Used as the only thickener in a water-thin solution, it can get a little slimy. However, when I combined it with a little sodium chloride (yes, table salt) solution, it produced a nice thin gel that was easy to dispense with a pump and didn't immediately run off your hands into the sink. As far as I can tell, this powder is exactly the same as the one I've had sitting on my shelf for the past 5 or 6 years. It performs identically in terms of solubility and usage rate. It probably has about a million and one uses as a thickener for everything from soaps and cosmetics to sanitizers and ceramic glazes. They use huge bags of this stuff as an industrial drilling lubricant, so I'm guessing it's dirt cheap if you buy it in bulk. Honestly, though, a tiny bit goes a very long way (it's powerful stuff), so don't buy a giant bag of it. Great to have around the house for various uses.

Extremely Difficult to Dissolve
I've tried most techniques I know to dissolve this CMC powder, including various pre-dissolve steps, high shear extended mixing, heating, etc., - at least short of using aggressive solvents like acetone as an additive to the water (I did try an alcohol additive). I can't get past suspension. Too much work for my purposes. I'll go back to HEC for now.

Great
I have purchased several different products from MYOC and they have all been really great quality and easy to work with. This CMC powder is no exception. It is a very fine, starchy powder. I use this product in lotions and creams. It helps to improve the thickness/emulsion stability and is a good water binder. It is usually derived from the cellulose of certain plants. I usually use about 1-4% depending on my recipe. It's a large bag (over 4 oz) so it will last me a long time and it has a decent shelf life. I definitely recommend this brand, they have great prices and fantastic products.

Challenging to dissolve initially, but effective with the right method
The Myoc Sodium CMC Powder was a bit difficult to dissolve at first, which was frustrating. However, once I discovered a technique—adding the CMC powder to a dry flask on a hotplate stirrer, fully wetting it with acetone, then adding water and stirring, and finally leaving it on heat to drive off the acetone—it became much more manageable. This method ensures the powder dissolves effectively, making it suitable for my applications. While the initial process was tricky, the end result is reliable once you know the right steps. I'm satisfied with its performance after mastering the technique.

nice addition to my DIY ingredient supply
This powder is exactly what I needed for my DIY projects. It’s high quality, and it dissolves well without clumping. I’ve used it for thickening solutions in both food recipes and crafting applications, and it performs flawlessly. The packaging is convenient, and I like that it’s non-GMO and free of parabens. If you need a versatile cellulose powder, this is a great option!

Seems Good
This package came out weighing about 4.8 ounces and their advertised volume is 4.23 oz so it seems like they are delivering the advertised quantity of powder.

Working fine in soap
This has been working fine in my soaps as a thickener. Seems a little pricey for cosmetic grade in this small amount, but it does the job. Label features a batch number, packing date & expiration date (of almost 2 years out). Since it’s not mentioned in the product details, I can confirm that this is made in India.
