Easy to install and works great no leaks

I should preface my review by saying that I originally purchased this for a home on municipal water, but before installing decided to move and now have it installed at a home with a well. This means that some items in water that were originally intended to be filtered out (chlorine/chloramine) are no longer a concern. All that said, this filter system is very easy to install provided you are starting with a "standard" setup. It's a matter of connecting a few lines and mounting (if you choose) below the sink. The price is quite reasonable compared to similar options especially for the sleek look and quality of materials. We had a well test performed before moving in so we knew we had a good clean starting point. We do also have a water softener on the home's system, so one of the benefits of this filtration system is it helps mitigate the effects of the softener (salt) on the potable water. As it stood before this unit, the water had too much sodium out of the tap to water plants without causing them issues. A retest of the water and every single item on the test strips measures in range or absent. And the water tastes great! Somehow even better than the well water alone which is already a huge taste improvement on the municipal water where we moved from.

Fellow Amazon shoppers, personally tested and won’t recommend. I returned it without hesitation. It’s not cheap. It comes with 5 filters. Each of them is merely just a thin tube of filters. It’s not like the fiber filter you see in drinking fountain or fridge. So, I won’t recommend drinking out of this. For hard water or chlorine , this won’t help much. But does filter out particles. This filter itself isn’t cheap. And then the replacement filter tubes are also expensive and probably difficult to find given the off brand it’s also very poorly designed see my photos. It comes with the wrench (made of very think plastic that doesn’t withstand much torque or torsion without damaging the wrench itself) it’s also very difficult to fit the cap (base of the tube filter) to make it tight enough to avoid leaking. I’m afraid if I apply too much h pressure, it could cause damage. And it happens to 2 of the tubes! This filter is also very heavy! I tried to install it on the wall of the cabin under the sink, it falls. It needs to sit on the cabin floor. Lastly, the faucet base and the seal is also very weak. You really risk of damaging the parts tightening it too much.

I decide to try this under sink water filter because I want better taste and quality from my tap. The installation is not too difficult, but need some basic plumbing skill. The instruction manual have step by step guide with picture. Pros: Has 5 stage filtration to remove many contaminant The filter last for 2 years or 16000 gallon, very long life Come with separate faucet for filter water, easy to use Housing is stainless steel, durable and recyclable NSF certify to reduce chlorine, taste, and odor Cons: Take up quite a bit of space under sink The flow rate a bit slow compare to regular tap Replacement filter can be expensive Brushed nickel faucet may not match other fixture I think this a decent water filter system for home use. It improve the water quality and taste noticeably. Just make sure you have enough room under sink and budget for filter replacement.

Now, I ain't no fancy-pants scientist, but I know a thing or two 'bout clean water and savin' money, so listen up! First off, they say this contraption can last you a whole two years or filter out 16,000 gallons of water. That's longer than Uncle Billy's truck has been sittin' in the yard waitin' for him to fix it! Saves ya the trouble of fussin' with filters all the time, which means more time for important things like fishin' or sippin' sweet tea on the porch. They claim it's got five-stage filtration, and I suppose you can see it and it sounds fancier than a pig in a prom dress, but all you need to know is it gets rid of the junk in your water while leavin' the good stuff behind. Let me tell ya, that water tastes cleaner than Granny's Sunday wash! If you're lookin' to turn that tap water from swamp juice to crystal clear refreshment, give this Fachioo Water Filter a try.

My husband is an Ice nut and has gotten a commercial ice maker for home. He installed it under the counter in the kitchen and added this filtration system to the water line before the machine.
