Horrible Guild: Sunrise Lane - Strategy Board Game, Real Estate & Building, 2-4 Players, 45 Mins, Ages 8+

This is a game that definitely flew under the radar! I ordered this because it was on sale for an incredible price and it was by my favorite designer. This game plays with a similar core mechanism as Ticket to Ride -- take cards or spend cards to play on the board. However, the game plays much faster than TTR and is a lot more interactive and interesting. The components are really fun since the building stack up during play and by the end you have a nice little colorful town to look at. I think that this game would be good for children maybe down to 8-12 years old, as there is some basic multiplication that needs to be done for scoring throughout the game.

All the reviews I read here are very fair and bring out good points about quality issues (my board split, too, but I just taped it back together and you can’t tell from the top). I got it on sale for a little less than half MSRP so I’m ok with the production quality for that price. Yes, the little houses don’t stack perfectly (they’re kind of rubbery, not acrylic or rigid 3D printed material), yes the 3D house/player colors are a bit boring, and yes, the red and pink/purple are difficult to tell apart on the board. However, it’s a fun game and easy to learn rules like Lost Cities or Schotten Totten (two options on your turn: place houses or draw cards) but some interesting choices and strategies available. If you like the aforementioned card games, I think you’ll enjoy this one. It might be one of those you play a dozen times then pass on to someone else to enjoy, but it’s definitely worth playing in my opinion! I’m glad I got it and I will introduce my friends to it. Quick, light, fun!

This is a fun, strategic, yet straightforward game that makes it good both experienced gamers and nongamers. There's multiple strategies for winning, and the games are relatively quick.

Easy to learn and each match is about 20 minutes. Super cute pieces and amazing colors. I did find very easy to tell apart red and pink, but I have normal vision. I was not expecting to have so much fun.

Fun, family style game with simple rules but a good amount of strategy. If you are just getting into the wonderful world of hobby board games, this is a good entry level game. This game designer has several other games with similar characteristics.

Knizia is my favorite board game designer, and even within the Good Doctor’s oeuvre, this game is an absolute standout. Sunrise Lane is a re-working of his earlier game, Rondo. To gameplay, think Ticket to Ride meets Manhattan. SL has a very low barrier to entry with low complexity rules that can be taught quickly coupled with deep tactics and strategy.Beware the board though, as mine snapped into two halves after laying it on the table for the first time. It’s still perfectly functional, but I am concerned how well the board will stand up over time. This is the only disappointment I’ve had with this excellent game.

It was recommended by a Instagram couple I follow for board games. Great game, easy to learn. Takes about 20min for 2 players. Plenty of diffrent strategies, so playable for a long time, which is the best part.

El producto llegó en perfectas condiciones, el juego es muy sencillo en reglas, los componentes llamativos. El reglamento está en inglés pero el juego no es dependiente del idioma. La bolsas para guardar los componentes las tenía yo, no vienen incluidas.

Son piezas mini mini, de 1cm x 1cm, para que lo tengan en cuenta, y son de hule no de plástico, son flexibles y no embonan bien, el juego es sencillo, pero cumple, detallitos que le bajan un poquito de nivel a la experiencia, pero en general, ps bien...

Tengo q decir que las piezas están bien y el tablero está bien impreso. Sin embargo, una bolsa de casas me vino abierta y con 27 en lugar de 28 casitas. Así que de entrada me vino incompleto
