I ordered the part for a chevy not a ford

Not sure if it will work for Chevy. I have a Ford Edge and even though it fit, I ended buying a metal one as this plastic version kept bending and eventually broke...

How do you use it or what is it specifically designed for?

It is designed to remove the transmission cooling lines from the bottom of the radiator by pushing the flanges in around the line and it expands the spring thus releacing the line so you can pull it put

Will this work on a 2008 ford explorer sport track? I had a shade tree mechanic work on replacing my radiator and he screwed up the line.

Theoretically it would work but I don't recommend. I bought it for my 2006 explorer radiator replacement, but for that purpose it was simply garbage and it hurt my finger. I then picked a piece of relatively hard plastic tube and cut it in a similar shape. It worked with only a few try. Save your money.

will this tool also fit a 2003 dodge ram 1500 transmission cooler line? this system also uses glycol like the main radiator
