It works!!
****PLEASE READ IF SKEPTICAL!!***** This product is awesome!!! I can’t believe the luck I had. I have been feeding this stray cat every single day from the month of October (6 months now) he began to recognize me and my voice and would come close to me but still skeptical of letting me even lightly pet him. I’ve tried luring him inside him food, etc. I bought him a shelter house in the woods for the winter, but was still nervous of his survival due to the bad weather, as I really care about him. I was getting desperate and new I had to do something sooner than later if I wanted to save him. This cat trap was listed as best seller and one of the cheaper ones as well. I bought it hoping for the best as I noticed the reviews are pretty 50/50 - people either said it was faulty / didn’t work at all or people either praised about it, no in between really. I payed for two day shipping and it came the very next day which was super convenient. Anyways, IT WORKED THE VERY FIRST TIME / TRY!!!! I couldn’t believe it, I feel like an idiot for not doing this months ago. I’m not a builder at all and it was super easy to set up, instructions are very understanding, the video tutorial on here is even more helpful took longer to build for me then it did to catch him!!! I met him outside like I do every night for his feeding, I set the cage down in the distance with a can of tuna inside and I put wet cat food in the entrance of the cage throughout , as well as on the trap pad to lure him more easily which really helped him be less scared to go inside. I walked away several feet and watched - in less than five minutes he was inside eating around the trap and eventually triggered it. I could not believe how easy and fast it worked. It was incredibly successful as I was nervous from people saying this trap is cheap and animals frequently escape.. which I want to speak on. ***READ HERE**** This trap does 100% work, clearly. I think it’s suffice enough to get the job done without spending $$$. BUT I WILL SAY, there is minor errors. When the front door is locked, there is slight gaps in the corner. As I was carrying the cat inside holding the cage, he was trying to escape through these gaps, he was managing to nearly get his whole head out (about up to his hears) I noticed this and kept calm, I slid the cage up so it would push him back which helped. ****DISCLAIMER**** I would not depend on this cage to use overnight to catch, because the animal more than likely wouldn’t be there in the morning. I would not leave unattended during catch, be on stand by and act fast to bring cage to designated area. Although painful, a scared / angry cat or critter could definitely navigate out of the cage if it really tried and especially had the time. Overall, for what it’s worth the cage is pretty sturdy. If your second guessing this purchase I say buy it!!!! Give it a try, test your luck you may be surprised like me. It doesn’t hurt…now Mr.Kitty is safe :) I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!

I have no complaints.
I was skeptical about this cage after reading some reviews. I decided to try it and it is effective, the build is durable and portable. Good quality material and very easy to use. First night i caught a cat and released it. I like it because it can be adjusted according to the weight of the animal you need to catch. Its also larger than i expected.

Cut my fingers. Wear the gloves
The thing is pretty easy to put together. It comes collapsed. It all just snaps together. Comes with a pair of gloves. I didn’t put them on. I didn’t think I needed them for anything. They certainly will not protect you from an animal bite. However, I found out that just handling it will give you a bunch of little tiny cuts all over your fingers. I don’t know what it is, but today my fingers have microscopic cuts. Very irritating. I don’t know how this trap will compare to the have a Havaheart that I’ve been trying to use. An armadillo has busted out twice now. Just muscle its way back through the front door, bending everything out of the way. I’ll update if I remember.

Zip ties will save you cries. Clip for the back broke when possum got in it.
I used zip ties because the back of the trap broke so fast that the possum just walked out the back of the trap. I fixed it with just securing with 2 zip ties. Easy. The trap wasn't hard to put together. I liked the size. It caught a good size possum. Actually 3 possums in a 4 hour period. I just kept setting it up and catching them all. I didn't think it was gonna last by the Appearance but it looks great. Only 4 stars because the back broke and I had to use zip ties to lock the cage.

Excellent Trap That Works Exactly as It Should
I used this SZHLUX 32” live animal cage trap to catch a raccoon, and it worked exactly as expected. I’ll be honest, I was initially a bit skeptical because it was noticeably less expensive than many comparable traps. I was concerned that lower price might mean thinner wire, poor construction, or unreliable performance. After using it, I can confidently say those concerns were unfounded. The trap is strong and sturdy, with solid wire construction that did not bend or deform at all once the raccoon was inside (despite his best efforts to get himself free). The door mechanism worked smoothly and closed securely, with no gaps or flexing that would allow an animal to escape. Once triggered, the trap stayed firmly shut. Assembly was straightforward and easy. The folding design is convenient, and the instructions were clear enough, plus the video on assembly, that I had it set up quickly without frustration. Everything lined up properly, and the trigger plate was sensitive enough to activate reliably without being overly finicky. I also appreciate that this is a humane catch-and-release trap. The animal was contained safely without injury, which was important to me. The size is appropriate for raccoons and other similar-sized animals, and I can see it being equally effective for stray cats, groundhogs, or similar sized animals. Overall, I’m very glad I didn’t spend more money on a higher-priced trap. This one does exactly what it claims to do and feels well-made and dependable. If you’re looking for a sturdy, humane live animal trap that performs well without overpaying, this is a solid choice. I would absolutely buy it again and recommend it to others dealing with similar wildlife issues.

Very Good
Works very well. Thought I had raccoons or squirrels in the attic. Instead, caught rats in this trap.

Great Trap, but There's One Issue
OK, I've been battling Coons on my roof, as I've got a wooded double lot. For a while I used a Pest Control Company, but the cost eventually led to my purchasing my own Trap. This is nearly identical to his Pro Trap, with two key differences: 1) The wire for the cage is definitely a smaller gage than the Pro Trap. It's still strong enough, but because it's flimsy that leads to point #2: 2) The one issue that's a problem is that the Pro Trap had a Vertical Sliding Panel for the "Release Door" (opposite the sping loaded Trap Door), whereas this Trap has a Hinged Door. The Pro Trap could use the Vertical Sliding Panel because the trap was so much more robust and rigid. Sounds minor but it's not. Due to the lighted gauge, the Hinged Door is locked into place with what they call "Fixing Clips" (#9 on their sketch). When you have an angry and biting animal in the cage, it's nearly impossible to get the Hinged Door released from the Fixing Clips. Even when you do, it's hard to control the release of the animal when you're a safe distance away from the trap (In the case of the Pro Trap, you can clip a rope onto the top of the Vertical Sliding Panel, and raise it from a distance). Would I buy it again ? No, I'd pay more money for the Pro Trap.

functionality issues
Read before you buy I purchased this based on price and I regret it. Because it's collapsible, there aren't enough metal bands to hold the panels firmly to shape and a cat can slip it's paws thru in a few places while inside. Also it has 2 handles in a v, which is uncomfortable, and I assume was done so they couldn't be accused of cloning a common design owned by someone else. I used wire tires many places to get more firmness but it was still rickety. It has a flip over bar to help hold it's shape but nothing to lock that in place so was very disappointed. It just flipped around. The trigger design is like a havahart but the trigger rod and hook are 2 pieces instead of one and align poorly, making it hard to set and you have to do it on the ground instead of just pulling the rod while you bend like on a havahart. It's also a little to sensitive but supposedly "adjustable" I saw no way to get another setting. This will work and might be ok for small cats but honestly you are better of spending the extra twenty or so for a name brand unless it is just a one time use. For regular use, avoid this one like the plague. I don't think Amazon should sell these but that's just my personal opinion.
