Once I found the one that fit the way I wanted, it actually did a better job of holding my hair back than I expected.The wavy design gives it a pretty good grip, and it stays in place better than some of the smoother headbands I've tried. That's probably the biggest positive for me. I don't have to constantly adjust it once I have it positioned correctly.The downside is that it's still a metal wire headband, so comfort isn't really its strong point. It can put some pressure around the sides of my head, and I wouldn't call it something I'd want to wear all day.
