Are these just laminated paper or are they actually plastic/pvc cards?

Neither! They are on laminated 310gsm playing card stock. The playing card stock has a core in the center so the cards bounce back when you bend them. They look and feel like cards in a regular deck of Bicycle playing cards (except they’re laminated, and blank).

do these work with wet erase markers?

Yes, wet erase markers work as well. The cards are laminated on front and back and work well with both dry and wet erase markers.

I am using expo dry erase and it smudges. How can I alleviate this problem?

Different dry erase pens will hold differently. Use wet erase to reduce the amount of smudging.

When shuffling through them, how do they hold up as far as accidental erasing? It seems like they might be a little too easy to erase...?

We use wet erase markers. This makes it possible for them to be stacked without rubbing the print off.
