They work exactly as they are supposed to.
Iโm near sighted and find it hard to see some of the small print on the streaming service menus without getting up and moving close to the tv. I bought a couple different kinds of โbinocularโ glasses and found that this version is the only one that worked. The ones that just have 2 sets of lens donโt focus correctly. These glasses have individual focus on each lens, so you can dial in the perfect setting. I got 2 pair - one for the family room tv watching and one for another room. Once the focus was set, I can just slip them on to see the small print easily. So glad I found these.

Work well within a certain range.
They are not well balanced and have a very limited range of vision. Within the working range, they are very good, allowing hands-free inspection of small items. This is a real boon for my aging eyes. They are front weighted so the strap is necessary for normal work.

disingenuous and deceitful representation
I've never been misled by Amazon in prior purchases, but their description and functionality of these binocular glasses is just downright deceptive. It was impossible for me to read a book as depicted in the image on the website; it had to be several feet away, not at arms length, that's just wrong. There is a crystal-clear image of the television but only a very small portion of the screen is visible. Amazon and Blackice should be ashamed for condoning their disingenuous and deceitful representation of these glasses. It preys upon the gullibility of an unsuspecting consumer and the elderly. I did return them and was reimbursed so I do think Amazon for that, but I hope this is not a trend that Amazon intends to continue or condone.

binocular glasses
It works but you have to keep in mind that each eye has a completely different range, so they'll never overlap and allow you to focus on the same thing with both eyes simultaneously. Each respective lens has the ability to adjust the distance it focuses at by twisting it. If at first you're having a hard time getting something in either eye to focus, just play with the rotation until it comes into focus. The left eye seems to be for closer range, around arms length or so. The right eye is anywhere between arms length to several yards away with a bit more of zooming effect on closer ranges. As long as you can get your eyes lined up right behind the lenses, they should be a wonderful tool to use for focusing on close or far distances alike!

A useful tool!
Okay so let me start with these do work! They don't work well for what I wanted them for, which was watching tv for my mother who has really bad eyesight. They work for her they are just awkward and the view area is smaller than she'd like. So on a larger tv screen you might have to look back and forth a tad in order to see everything. It's great for reading the captioning though. I used them outside to spot birds and look into areas I can't generally zoom into. They work pretty well and the visual is clear. They are kind of awkward on your head and nose. With the strap they will stay in place it's just nobody is really used to having something shaped like these on our faces lol. If you adjust too much you can accidentally unscrew the lenses allowing them to fall from the frame, it's not much of a problem to get them back on. You can also use the same method to adjust the distance between the eye pieces as they do adjust for wider set eyes or more narrow eye spacing. Over all I have found many uses for them. If you are looking for something for eyesight impaired there aren't many options out there and they do work. It's just that the field of view is perhaps a little more narrow than most would want but it's still going to do the trick. I know some people called them cheap and flimsy however to have them light enough to wear with the awkward shape with the lenses sticking out they have to be light weight which lends to them perhaps to some feeling cheap or flimsy. I didn't find them to be as such. I do feel like the price is perhaps a bit over done at 39.99 ea. In closing: Usefulness - Yes, you'll find a use for them be it looking out while hunting, bird watching, looking at anything from a distance and even watching tv as some stated. Might take some getting used too. They do come in a case for storing them and keeping everything together.

Truly wonderful!
I am a semi invalid. I love to lie in my recliner and look through the window at the birds on my patio. My hands and arms quickly tire of holding regular binoculars. So, I ordered this product which rests on my nose like eyeglasses. It has been truly wonderful! I am so happy that I found this item on Amazon.

Exceeded Expectations
I bought these for my 79 year old Mother who has Wet Macular Degeneration. She is legally blind and can only see shapes unless she's right next to something or someone. She loves Wheel of Fortune but has to get off the couch and stand 3' in front of the TV to see the puzzle letter. She put on these magnified glasses and after a quick adjustment, she was able to clearly see the puzzle letters on the TV from the couch, 16' away. Tears of joy flowed down her face and I was blown away. This product exceeded my expectations!
