Honestly just needed beams to build my simple projects. However did not expect to be all different color per beam type. Actually not mad and enjoy these beams than the ones shown. Thank you!

You get a good assortment of pieces that work and fit well with name brands.

If you build Technics sets, it's always nice to have a few spare parts for those unfortunate rare times when the name brand set you've purchased is missing a part - so you don't have to wait a couple of weeks for a replacement. This set is a very nice addition to my "tool box" of parts and the parts' fit is very nearly or exactly identical to those from Denmark. The reason I gave this great collection of parts 4 stars instead of 5 is that, compared to others available on Amazon, the price seems just a bit high for what you get. It's a very good set, but not an outstanding value IMO. Other than that, they perform well and it's always good to have spares on hand.

First and foremost... This is not a kit, and in fact you cannot actually build anything with the included parts. However it is not claimed by the supplier to be a kit, and if you read the description it doesn't say you can build anything with just this set. It is however an EXCELLENT expansion for an existing Technics set. I say Technics-like because these are not the branded parts, but after-market add ons. They are however very high quality, and work well with my existing branded parts. I haven't noticed any size or fit differences, but given the fact that they are aftermarket and less expensive, they might exist. The colors are random, and mine was not as pictured in the advertisement, but closer to the pictures from other reviewers. To me this didn't matter, but if you want specific colors, there is no way to assure that. If you are fan of Technics building then this is a good cost effective set, and from my standpoint very highly recommended.

The parts I tested are all perfectly interchangeable with LEGO-brand parts. In fact, it’s hard to tell the LEGO-brand parts from these. I will say these seem to look slightly more translucent than real parts, and the long beams seem to have a little bit of give. There are no connectors of any kind included, so by itself you can’t do much with these. As a set of parts to add to an existing collection, this is great. Expect to need to get a collection of connectors in addition to this. My set came with two brick separators, as well as a bonus gift with two single-stud people figures.

This is a great collection to own for anyone who enjoys Technic build sets - my husband does the cars through Technic and has come up with missing pieces from sets. We got this hoping to help those times when he needs a spare part or two. The bricks fit nicely as replacement pieces on all the car builds. I cannot address the remote control as nothing he builds uses a remote control so that is why it is blank on the rating scale. For spare parts, I felt this was a bit expensive but given the cost of the builds we have purchased only to discover missing parts - this seems a cheap fix. The bricks are durable, the colors are as expected, and the designs are smooth and flawless. Recommend to the Technic builder.

These blocks, for the most part, are highly similar to brand name Technic sizing. However, when I tried fitting brand name pieces along the side of the beam, the fit was very tight, quite a bit tighter than when doing the same thing with brand name pieces to each other. However, this was the only issue I had, otherwise it worked fine with axles and connectors. I suspect there may be a very slight difference in diameter - these are perhaps .01 mm or so smaller. Aside from that minor tolerance issue (and for the most part I don't assemble pieces that way but just wanted to test) these are fine. Colours seem non-standard but that is fine for my applications. If you were trying to maintain consistency between brand name and non-brand name parts that could be an issue but otherwise it is fine. Finish and quality of the parts is good. Some of the pieces were an interesting half-thickness, but if you stacked two together they pretty much perfectly matched the regular beam width. This is obviously intentional, perhaps this is a thing with regular Technic but I haven't seen it before so it is new to me. This half thickness was on a number of the pieces, but the straight beams were standard size. Note that this is not a stand alone set - you won't be able to build anything without connectors, axles, etc. which are not included. It is meant to be supplementary parts for an existing collection. Given the cost savings over brand name parts and the high level of compatibility, I think this is a great value, even if there is the odd quirk here and there.
