This book is your introduction to to physical computing with the Arduino microcontroller platform. No prior experience is required, not even an understanding of basic electronics. With color illustrations, easy-to-follow explanations, and step-by-step instructions, the book takes the beginner from building simple circuits on a breadboard to setting up the Arduino IDE and downloading and writing sketches to run on the Arduino. Readers will be introduced to basic electronics theory and programming concepts, as well as to digital and analog inputs and outputs. Throughout the book, debugging practices are highlighted, so novices will know what to do if their circuits or their code doesn't work for the current project and those that they embark on later for themselves. After completing the projects in this book, readers will have a firm basis for building their own projects with the Arduino. Written for absolute beginners with no prior knowledge of electronics or programming Filled with detailed full-color illustrations that make concepts and procedures easy to follow An accessible introduction to microcontrollers and physical computing Step-by-step instructions for projects that teach fundamental skills Includes a variety of Arduino-based projects using digital and analog input and output Review: very good - son happy with book as he's in to this thing building computers Review: Great beginners book - This is a great beginners book to the arduino and code writing, understanding what your doing and how it works, it's concise and written in a way that even i could understand what I was doing.

interesting read but no actual learning
I bought this book on the off chance that it would teach me how to program an Arduino. it doesn't, mostly it spends it's time explaining about which tools to use and which resisters to use and how electricity flows through a circuit. there is about 10 pages dedicated to the programming side of it. these pages will all be shown on the Arduino website when you download it, in fact there is far more information on the Elegoo website. Elegoo is the starter kit that gives you all the components that you need to get started. Neither of these was any good for me to learn from. They all say they are training programs but I disagree with that statement. they show you how to wire up a circuit, but then tell you to down load the code that is already installed into the program on the Arduino website. if you want to know how to program your own Arduino then look on YouTube, there you will find several people who show you how and why you do what you do with the code. The 2 people that I have been watching are Rachel (sorry I cannot remember her full name) Just type in Rachel Arduino and it will come up. the other one that is really good although annoying is Paul McQuirter. with both of these I was very quickly able to wire up a joystick to the Arduino and program 4 traffic lights.

Highly recommend it, especially of you are just starting out.
Easy to read and gives a great overview of the foundational concepts of building and measuring circuits, creating sketches and getting the most out of your Arduino.

Best and easiest book on Arduino
Makes Arduino and electronics incredibly easy to learn. This is the best self study on Arduino and electronics that I have ever read. I'm using it to teach my 13 year old grandson. I love it and so will you.

Einfach Toll
This book is great. Really for beginners. You should write the sequel to this book, for a more advanced level, as a sequel, maybe even in two more volumes. I can only recommend this book (for beginners).
