Readers will want to grab a telescope and explore the night skies after finishing this overview of our solar system. Our solar system consists of eight planets, as well as numerous moons, comets, asteroids, and meteoroids. For thousands of years, humans believed that Earth was at the center of the Universe, but all of that changed in the 17th century. Astronomers like Nicolaus Copernicus, Galileo Galilei, Johannes Kepler, and Isaac Newton proposed the unthinkable theory that Earth and the other planets actually revolved around the Sun. This engaging book chronicles the beginning of the modern age of astronomy, then follows later discoveries, including NASA's current missions in space. Review: Well written, age appropriate - These books are great. Not to child like, well written for the age group it is intended for. My son has to read 15 minutes each night and these series of book are great because he prefers non-fiction. Review: Informative! - Great book! Very informative and enjoyed by myself and 6 year old! Learned a lot.

The seven-year-old finished it in two days
She really enjoyed this book and read it quickly. I did not read it, but I trust that it must have been engaging for her to even complete it, but even more so given the rapid speed in which she did read it. Solid book.

Wasn’t happy with this one
The book was cut very wonky. It was pretty disappointing to find that out when I received it. Everything is printed at an angle which annoys my OCD mind. We also believe in creation theory and this one doesn’t educate based on those aspects (God creates the world). It also doesn’t address that in the info on the amazon page so that I could decide whether it was for me or not. I probably should’ve just assumed it didn’t but I didn’t consider that at the time. Overall, my rating is for the quality of printed material of the book which is 2 stars, as well as not providing all the info on the info page.
