Do you need 520 different colored pencils in your life? 100% YES.
The KALOUR 250 Set of Pro Colored Pencils are INCREDIBLE. The pencils feel good in your hand, are slender and durable, and glide easily across any paper. The colors are vibrant, beautiful, and varied. When I first ordered the set, I thought it was probably too good to be true. Could there ACTUALLY be 520 DIFFERENT colors, or would there be repeats? I can safely say that every color is distinct and unique. There's a TON of range in the spectrum, and the lay-down as you color is smooth as butter. You can shade, blend, and layer with these colored pencils easily. I also found the fluorescent and metallic colored pencils to have a brought range of hues and shades -- far more than I was anticipating. Although some of the metallics share a name with one of the regular colored pencils, the colors are still unique enough that you don't feel like you're getting the same color twice but just in different formats. The trays are easy to pull out of the tin and are organized generally by color groupings. This does NOT match their official swatch chart, which means you'll do a lot of flipping back and forth between the pages if you're planning to fill it out (which I DO recommend). I'm not quite sure that I understand the numbering system, as they jump around a lot and there will be multiple groups of reds, greens, blues, etc., separated by other colors. Not even the metallic and fluorescent colors are all together in their own separate groups, which is a little strange, but a minor quibble. These colored pencils are strong, do not smear or smudge, and make coloring a breeze. I had a ton of fun in my first attempt at using them, and I look forward to using them on future projects. My only other gripe is that I got two of the same colored pencil and therefore am missing one -- I got a duplicate of Burnt Umber but have NO Metallic Coffee. Kalour doesn't make it clear if you can order single colored pencils, but I hope there's a way to do so! If you haven't tried this set for yourself, I definitely recommend it!

Beautifully pigmented
I’ve been a Crayola snob since I learned how to hold a colored pencil in my hand. For almost forty years, I’ve exclusively used Crayola. That’s changed now. This 520 pack gives you so many more variations of color that it’s unreal. I think the best Crayola does is 150? So, just in terms of variety, Kalour is winning. The pencils literally glide across the page. They’re beautifully pigmented. I tend to color with an absurdly light hand, and they still look amazing. Imagine how they’d look if I actually pressed hard! But it’s like dragging a stick of butter across a hot plate, it’s that smooth. It also came in a fairly functional box that didn’t result in me peeling the skin from around my fingernails to access the pencils, which is always a win. The trays are a bit flimsy, as they’re very light plastic, but they do the job. And the tin is actually kind of pretty with the sea turtle. The size of the pencils is about what is standard for a colored pencil, both in length and circumference. The tops are rounded off, so if you wind up hitting yourself in the face, you’ll just get a rounded, lacquered end, rather than a new crescent shaped red mark. Organization is also great for someone who likes to keep things in order—obsessively so. The pencils are numbered, and that’s a game changer for me. I don’t have to ask myself where the colors fit in with ROYGBIV, because Kalour has it organized according to their own method. But having things in numerical order just makes me happy. The price is a bit much for coloring supplies, but the price is there for a reason. These pencils are worth every cent. They’re such amazing quality that I can’t say enough good things about them. If you’re on the fence, go for it. Buy them. They’re amazing pencils, and I can’t believe my Crayola snobbishness prevented me from finding these ages ago.

Great set, lots of colors
I had bought smaller sets for my kids and they loved them. They are more expensive than crayola and some other brands BUT they blend a lot better and they dont break nearly as much so I feel they are worth it. My kids and I enjoy art together so I bought this set for myself. I love having so many colors to choose from and they blend really well. I feel like the Kalour brand is a great mid-range pencil. The quality is much better than crayola and other less expensive brands but they arent as expensive as some of the "professional" quality pencil brands. I also purchased a 600 slot pencil case that allows you to easily access whichever color you want. The case also holds each pencil and they dont spill out everywhere. If you travel or do art in different places the case makes is so easy.

Impressive
The amount of variety of colors in this set is mind-blowing. The trays come mostly divided by color with a few out of place. Going through them all to color the chart was time consuming because they're not in numerical order. The colors are not in numerical order either. Nor are they in shading order. None of this is a complaint, just stating facts for other buyers to be prepared. I had put them in number order per color and wasn't happy with that because I then had dark mixed with light. I am now having a blast sorting and lining them up in hue order from light to dark. What I like mostly about them is the smoothness of use on paper and sanded plastic, the names for many are spot on, and the nice metal box. What I don't like is only the bottom two have convenient handles, they all should have handles because removal of trays are a little difficult without them. The finger dents are not enough. And I had one pencil without a tip. The tip was nowhere in the box, so it was packed that way. Despite the minor inconveniences, I'd recommend this for everyone. I'm beyond glad I made this purchase. I dropped two and they didn't break. I think it's a good value for your money.

Taste the rainbow !! All 520 of em !!! (Please don't eat your pencils )
This purchase was monumental y'all ! Took on an art project for work and first thing I did was scour Amazon for an army of color ! Kalour did not disappoint! Next day, me and 520 colored pencils crushed the assignment ! Rich vibrant color, easy to shade, blend and burnish, less creamy than I was hoping but I may have chosen the wrong paper too ! Very nice arrangement of trays set in a deep tin with lid ! You have like ALL THE COLORS YALL !!

Better Than Prismacolor
These are the best colored pencils! I’ve been coloring as an adult for almost 4 years now, and I have another 520 set, from Brutfuner. I also have a watercolor and macaron sets from Brutfuner. I have a large set of Prismacolors, also. These are DEFINITELY the best ones. They blend beautifully and the way they layer is divine. The point doesn’t stay pointy for very long, but a lot of that is because I have such a heavy hand. I’m working on it🤷🏻♀️😉. One of the best parts is the end that DOESN’T get sharpened is capped. I never thought much about it until the lead started pushing out as I tried to sharpen it with my Brutfuners. I MAY try some truly expensive ones someday, but until then, I’ll never buy anything but Kalour.

Amazing
I color all the time. I love these pencils they are totally awesome. The colors are amazing. Only thing about it and I wish it came in a case. I had to spend $60 for a nice case. And it took me 2 hours to get the pencils in the case. Other than that they're totally awesome and I would buy them again if I need to it's worth the money.

Daughter likes them
So many pencils, so many colors! My daughter loves them! We had one mishap, just one pencil that has the lead off center so unable to sharpen or use easily. Hopefully that was just a one off though and not a common occurrence.

If your'e thinking about it, just buy it. You'll be happy.
Before I bought this I read a review, and it said: "They asked me if you really need 520 colors?" YES, YOU DO!. These are very good quality and all were delivered intact. Great set to have.

Hier kauft man tatsächlich Qualität! Mein Fazit: 5 Sterne
