It’s a very good drying towel, but like some people say it’s almost impossible to wring out. That said, it does take on quite a bit of water and is capable of mostly drying a full car. For a larger vehicle you might need two. Not sure about cleaning it with specific detergent. I have washed it just fine in the washing machine with standard detergent. I have even just allowed it to dry out naturally a few times and haven’t had any issues. It’s a really good towel and thoroughly recommended.

Terrific drying cloth. Not cheap but worth every penny. I have one for the car and I use the second one to dry down the shower every morning and it's the best thing I've ever used for that. Saves so much time and effort compared with a squeegee and conventional towel.

Soaks up a huge amount of water. Costs a bit but you'd need at least 2 or maybe 3 other quality towels to do this job this does.

I like the weight of the towel, compared to my twisted loop which can get much heavier when wet. It's a great compliment to my car cleaning regime.

This cloth is magical in its ability to absorb water. Perfect if you want to dry your car after cleaning it. Works like a dream!
