American West Sterling Silver Mixed Metal Mother of Pearl and Leather Pendant Enhancer

I have never seen a Carolyn Pollack piece that I didn't like - but this one is one of my favorites. There really is leather in behind the silver work. The mother of pearl really pops in this piece - and there's just enough turquoise to wear it with my vintage pieces. To show you how big (and beautiful) this pendant is, I am holding it in my palm - it's attached to a nugget necklace that I've had for years - I think this would be beautiful on Carolyn's signature necklace, but until I can work that into my budget, it looks beautiful with what I have. I highly recommend any of Carolyn's pieces, but if you want a special treat that you won't see duplicated, this pendant is a keeper.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but there's a big design problem with this otherwise pretty pendant/enhancer. I was able to buy it at a HUGE discount, and when it arrived, I noticed that the leather backing is glued to the metal. Since jewelry from this line tarnishes regularly (even in protected storage with anti-tarnish strips), especially mixed metal pieces, cleaning off the tarnish would pose a significant problem. There's really no way to clean the piece without damaging the leather. If it got damp/wet in any way, it would be ruined. Normally I love American West and Carolyn Pollack jewelry, but even at a low, low price, I felt I had to return this item.

Lovely piece. Looks great on a long chain as well as a choker size. It is sizable and well made.

Odd, a value on the front, a liability on the back.. I returned this item.

Oh what a lovely piece. I purchase plenty of jewelry pieces from the internet and sometimes they are junk. But this piece is beautifully designed and well made. I’m very happy with it and will be wearing it a lot!

I can't think of a better accessory for Western wear. Every time I wear it, people notice it. I look forward to wearing it for a long time!

Mixed metal with precious stones and leather. Perfect combination to wear with dressy ( due to mother of pearl) and casual. A real statement piece.
