I GOTCHA Stainless Steel Compact Golf Ball Retriever

I researched this item fully before the purchase and now I know why it won the awards it has, this is a very well made product which has not failed in retrieving a ball. The pick up system is excellent and very stable even when fully extended. Most of all it save your clothing from snags and tears when going into trees/shrubs. The cost is worth the product quality.

This is a fantastic piece of kit. I have used it to great effect in water, bushes and brambles. Many a golf ball retrieved that would otherwise not have seen the light of day again. Yes it is a bit heavy, but as it is so compact and expands to 18ft, the extra strength and weight is required. Easily fits in the golf bag. Highly recommended. Service from the company has been excellent. No hesitation in recommending this bit of kit to any golfer whose ball refuses to go straight or listen!

I really like this ball retriever, so much so that I bought a second one for my husband. It is light, compact and very effective. I keep it in the side pocket of my bag and it is readily available. I was disappointed to go to use it yesterday, and find the inner circle was broken. It hasn’t had much use, so I didn’t expect this. I suspect it is because my golf course suffers from the wind, and my bag has fallen over several times in the strong gusts. I would like advice on how I should store it in my bag before I splash out for a replacement, as I wouldn’t want the same thing to happen again.

I first saw the iGotcha being reviewed on a YouTube channel and thought it looked a decent product. I'm a member of a local golf club which has a few bodies of water on it, and it would appear lots of members who could do with some lessons as a huge number of balls end up in the water. This became more apparent the more I played so I thought I would purchase one of these and start replacing some of the many balls I had hit into the same water (I'm now having lessons!!) Believe me this thing was scooping balls out of the lakes like no-one’s business. It's so simple to use, you extend it to the length you require, make sure that the clip on the retriever has been released, locate, and then push down over the ball, it locks into the retriever, and you bring it to shore. There are cheaper versions/copies out there, I have tried some, they come nowhere near this one. Sadly, I got a bit carried away one day after a particularly fine birdie and left my iGotcha on the green of the 18th...some lucky person behind me was obviously so impressed they kept it so I had to buy another one. The iGotcha isn't cheap but if your local course has water and rubbish golfers buy one, it may just mean you never have to buy another golf ball again. I most certainly haven't since my original purchase.

Had used a friends and thought it was great.. I went for the 10ft, sadly not the same as my friends version. It'll do, but need to be gentle with it. Does fold down very small,

Had to send first delivery back with faulty lock mechanism. Was replaced within 24 hours. Great delivery service. The replacement has so far worked well and appears well constructed.

The retriever is to short and I doesn’t work when the ball is laying in the mud. You need to put pressure on the ball to make the spring mechanism go off, the shaft is to flexible at full extension with result of pressing the ball in to the mud and losing the ball.
