Rectangular Touch-Bar

Well made, and lots of attention to detail. I am very happy with this bin. When I was choosing a bin, I asked myself several questions to make sure I was making the right decision, and this bin ticked all the boxes. One of my main concerns was the moving parts and how likely they were to break, how much maintenance they needed, and how much stress they put on the bag and the mechanism itself. The bin has two hinges where the lid attaches and a spring-loaded mechanism. The lid is held down by a clip attached to the "touch bar," and all of the moving parts do not touch the bin liner. The mechanisms are all well-built, and it's unlikely that the contents from the bin will get close to any important mechanisms. Therefore, I don't think the moving parts will break easily, and they don't put any stress on the bag or mechanism. All of the moving parts are contained in the lid piece, so it should be easy to replace if it does break. I was also concerned about whether the bin's interior was smooth enough to allow recycling items without using a bag. The inner bin insert is smooth and has no sharp edges, and I've been able to use it without a bag for clean recycling. However, you can still use a bag if you want to avoid the hassle of cleaning the inert every few weeks. Another concern was whether the bin itself was easy to clean. The external stainless steel finish is very easy to keep clean, and any stains or scratches can be easily fixed. The bin's bag holder is easy to remove, and there are no sharp or angled edges that could damage the bag. There are also air gaps in the internal space to allow for easy bag insertion and removal, and the ledge in the insert makes it convenient to prop up the inner bin to remove and replace the bag. I also wanted to make sure there were no "nooks and crannies" that would be hard to clean, and thankfully, all areas that will need regular cleaning are easily accessible. The lid fits very securely, and no odours have escaped. There are no extra gimmick features like carbon filters or UV light, but the tight-fitting lid is enough for me. The bin also has an embedded handle on the back, which makes it easy to move around, and the touch bar is very easy to clean, so I don't think it will get gross over time. I had my old plastic roll top bin for decades. One day I wondered why I continued to put up with its small capacity, its ugliness, and a lid that had a viscious mind of its own. I wash shocked at how expensive bins had become but decided to treat myself to one that seemed to be just the ticket for about £50. Luckily I saw it in real life and new its plastic flimsiness would soon disappoint. The shop had a small SimpleHuman bin on display as well and I knew I had to have its 40 litre big brother. It is a thing of beauty and very practical. It is sturdy, goes flat against the wall and the lid opens near enough to 90 degrees making it easy to fill. The fact that the lid stays open until you close it I find very useful. I had no trouble using my cheap bin liners. Taking it out of the box and setting it up has not left any fingerprints. I never thought I would spend so much money on a kitchen bin. It has a 10 year guarantee. I think it was worth it for me.

Sitting down to write this, I’d never have imagined I’d have so much good to say about a bin! It’s so good I’ve got a bit weird about it. But It’s worth every penny. It’s looks nice, the finish is nice, the opening lever is hygienic, you can use your hand, elbow, foot if you’re bendy & probably your head to open it,but I haven’t tried that yet. The shape of it means it’s plenty big enough to swipe excess food off your plate without it going all over the edges. The liner is hidden in the secondary compartment so it doesn’t look scruffy. Its also actually magic, this 40ltr bin somehow seems to hold more rubbish than any bin I have had but the best thing about it is how easy it is to empty. It has several vent like holes so the bin bag doesn’t get suctioned in & stuck. The wrestle with the bag which ultimately ends up in it ripping is over! The bags provided are excellent but bog standard bags fit & work perfectly too. Best thing I’ve bought off Amazon & that’s saying something cos I have a big Amazon ordering addiction.

I've been looking for a rectangular bin that isn't open on foot and isn't made of plastic; this one seems to be the only one on the market. The bin looks really nice and will fit any high-end home for sure. I've been using it for a few months; the open mechanism still works perfectly and it's easy to clean and change the bag. This bin would fit a small household for a few days or a big family if you change bag every day. The only downside to this bin is the price.

Excellent and good looking bin. Built to last as sooo heavy. Bit pricey but worth it.

Simple human bin is very sturdy and well built , i really like the push handle for opening and i would recommend there own bin liners as they fit perfect and are very strong , a little expensive though.

So my husband was rather shocked by how much I spent on a bin, but I have to say, it has been worth it. It is very well constructed, looks good, cleverly designed so the bin bag can not be seen and even comes with a trial pack of 'Simplehuman' bin bags (they are fabulous, but I can't quite bring myself to pay for more expensive bin bags when the regular ones from the supermarket do almost as well). I like the touch bar to open the bin - I prefer it to pedal bins which can easily be damaged by heavy footed operation. The cuboid shape means that the bin fits neatly into my kitchen; not only does it look like a quality product, but it functions as one too.

I spent half an hour or more searching Amazon (and the web) for a trash can to put in the small kitchen area of this tidy media workshop, carefully reading product descriptions, reviews and so on. One wanted stainless steel, needed something that would seal tight and safe against smells and the worries that come with those, take everyday 13-gallon trash bags made by anyone, last a long time and be easy on the eyes. Although the cost put me off for a bit I couldn't find anything else even close, took the leap and bought one through Amazon Prime. It showed up on time (two-day shipping) and in great shape. Lifting it from the box I could tell straight off, this thing is built to last. The fit ("bodywork") seems very smooth and seamless to me, feels taut and tight and for a trash can, looks wonderful (and yes, at a glance, maybe somewhat like a big, old-school stainless steel Zippo lighter, but to my eye, better). Having read the reviews I already knew how to "put and tuck" an "anyname" trash bag snugly inside, which was a breeze, taking maybe 15 seconds on the first try, with no "loose ends" of the bag in sight. There's a "stop-step" for setting the inner bin upon when swapping out bags, no need to lift it out altogether and moreover, no meaningful "vacuum" lock in pulling up on the bin. Everything seems to match the product description. The weight is enough to make it quite hard to tip over, yet it's light enough to move without strain, one-handed (the black handle-grip in back helps with that). The "touch-bar" works great (and does open the lid with a wee downward nudge of the thigh alone), opening wide, so there don't seem to be many worries about spilling gunk on the lid or sides and I like it better than a foot pedal (and moreover do think it will last much longer). The lid closes easily and tight with a good, mind-easing "clunk." Sundry meals/snacks are whipped up here throughout the week and I'm thinking this trash can is going to make things go faster, more smoothly and cleanly (lots easier than fussing with a loose trash bag in the cupboard under the sink). I think that's a big deal. Given the ten-year warranty, if this trash can does last a decade, which I guess could happen, that would bring the cost down to pennies a day. I'm giving this trash can five stars because from my outlook it's indeed the best kitchen trash can I've seen in my life and fills the needs here, spot on, even at the cost paid.

キッチン横に2つ並べて使用しています。購入の決め手は見た目、ゴミ箱交換のしやすさ、タッチバーです。 見た目がスタイリッシュなのでリビングから見える位置に堂々と置けます。またゴミ袋が外に出にくいのも生活感が出にくく良いです。 ゴミ袋交換時は内箱を外箱から取り出す必要はありません。外箱の内側下部に出っ張りがあり、そこに内箱を乗せることで簡単に交換できます。 また、我が家ではダイニングとキッチンの間にベビーゲートを設置していますが、タッチバーがゴミ箱上部についているので、ダイニング側からゲート越しにゴミを捨てることができます。 実家にも同じものが数年前からありますが、臭い移りもありません。価格は高いですが長く使うのでいい買い物をしたと思います。

Incroyable la protection avec du carton aussi épais, extérieur comme intérieur qui cale bien l'ensemble ! * Cette poubelle est Magnifique avec une "qualité exceptionnelle" des matériaux utilisés (alu brossé épais et bac intérieur ABS très solide) et incroyablement bien conçue avec son système d'ouverture vraiment pratique qui se fait en douceur à une bonne hauteur. La partie supérieure recouvre bien le bac intérieur et le sac installé et caché. Les sacs blancs de la marque (10 fournis) sont vraiment "sur mesure" et ont l'air solides. * Le tout est plutôt lourd et atteste bien de la qualité de la poubelle ! De plus, même avec son poids, elle glisse toute seule sur le sol. Ce n'était pas mon budget de départ (d'une centaine d'euros)... mais franchement quand je regarde cette poubelle, oui elle est Magnifique ! Et son prix est totalement à la hauteur de sa qualité !
