I have locs and prefer to do my detox and deep conditioning at home (it’s cheaper than the salon) so I bought this steamer for the deep conditioning. I’m sitting here with this cap on now and I can feel the heat. It takes maybe 5 minutes to heat up but it does works just fine. Easy to use, light weight, fits well on my head and cute design.

I want to first make it clear that this hair steamer actually warms your hair for a deep condition. It does not dry your hair so don’t give a bad review for that. I found it to be well made. I’ve used it a few times so far and really like it. I love that the heat mainly stays on my hair and not heat the entire room, making it hot. I like the safety feature where it turns off after 15 minutes although others complain about this. Most times by the time I notice that it has cooled down its warming back up again. The cord is long enough for me as I sit in a chair right in front of the outlet. I like to use it 30 minutes or so at a time. I have hair down to the middle of my back when straightened and it fits my head just fine. I use a plastic cap on my hair and then put the steamer on. I can tell a difference in the manageability of my hair, in conjunction with a good conditioner. My hair is over processed and this has helped a lot. I felt softness for the first time in awhile. I wish I had bought this a long time ago. I would highly recommend!

I was worried that this conditioning cap would not get hot enough but it did a wonderful job with my deep conditioner. My only complaint is that I wish it were bigger. I have long thick locs and it was hard for me to fit all may hair inside.

I love it

I absolutely have never spent my money on something more valuable than this, on Amazon. My heating cap arrived today and I immediately put it to use. My 3b/3c Low porosity hair needed heat for deep conditioning. Upon research I uncovered, I needed to add heat. I tried it today and my hair was silky smooth. I love how fast it started heating and it does have a setting that minimizes burning but lowering the heat temporarily until it cools off. I used it for 30 minutes and never felt burning. It works well. Fits my big head, lol and it's only $20. Again money well spent, I can't wait to continue using it. It's very lightweight, you will barely feel it on your head.

At first I thought this product was great, heats up super fast. However, when I put it on high heat - it will get really hot (a good hot) and then within 5-6 minutes it feels like it turns off? Its really frustrating because I'd like to steam my hair for at least 10-15 minutes. If I switch it to Low it will start to heat up again and be at a lower heat.

Same as described in site. The instructions handout is not included with the product. Good if its shared with product and will be helpful in using.

Value of money

The product worked well and the results were excellent as long as it worked. There was no way to identify temp setting, but continued with light indication. But sad part was that it only lasted for 5 uses of 15 minutes each. If it lasted more surely it was 5star rating.
