This stuff took my 96 Ranger from ugly duckling to belle of the ball!
Got a bunch of these to paint the front bumper, wheels, and grill and headlight trim of my 96 Ranger which were all ugly and faded. Now they look fantastic and have held up over time. Though the grill/headlight trim needs some touching up, but that surface get's a lot of abuse from road dirt, and rushing air and water at freeway speeds. This is more an issue of the material than this paint as the front bumper still looks fine. I got some extra cans in case we needed them, but this stuff goes a long way! I gave the extras to a fellow Ranger owner and they painted the front bumper and trim of their Ranger and they still have 3+ cans left of the 9 I originally bought.

Works great!
This worked great for our outdoor fireplace. Easy to use. I actually bought a sprayer you can use with the can and it worked so much better. Easy on the finger. One can goes a long way. Ended up using two cans

Good but not great
Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I always remain objective and honest about the product or service. I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I will always end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know! Needed for a gas fireplace box that hasn't been resprayed in 15 years. After spending the last few years enjoying the fire and playing the game of "what do you see?" in the pattern of our eroding firebox paint, it was time to research and repaint. It's not something I have done before so I started from square one. After doing research, I went withthe Rust-Oleum based mostly on reviews and cost. I prepped the firebox by doing as good a job as I could on removing all surface debris, soot, paint, etc. to make for a good foundation. I masked off the painting area so as not to paint anything that didn't need it, spending a lot of time not to miss any spots. The removal of the soot and old paint is not a lot of fun and you will get dirty. But I was dedicated to having a good application surface. I used a good application distance and made sure to apply very light coats to all areas, allowing 15 minutes or so in between applications. Following application, I didn't use the fireplace for a couple of days. The end result looked really, really nice. It's now been a few months since application and I am seeing some degradation on the back wall of the firebox again. Not bad, but definitely there. I have also since lowered the flame as it was getting too hot. Not sure if the erosion is due to not doing a good enough job on the preparation, the fire being too hot or perhaps just bad coverage. That all said, I'm still really happy with the product and I would buy it again. I used about 2/3-3/4 of the can on the one fireplace.

Great but must cure at 400ยฐF and painted surfaces must not touch
Wonderful. Must cure at 400 degrees F for at least an hour. Also, it gets really soft in the first 20 mins of curing at temp, so it must not be touching painted surface. I had to redo mine and its not perfect (oh well still a vast improvement on before) because I laid it in the oven touching the foil and tried to rotate it 20 mins in. Will definitely use again. I got it for a rifle supressor that had gotten fugly over 5+ years of use. I hand sanded 400 to 600 grit all around to help prep the surface and remove caked on gunk. Sprayed with rubbing alcohol and wiped down. Used mineral oils and wiped down. Prepped with gloves. Then 2 coats of paint. First time I didn't suspend it in the air and ended up with lines where it rested when I baked it in a secondary toaster oven in the garage. Sanded around again, 1 coat, used tin foil to make a stand and it turned out great. Would have been perfect if I used the tinfoil as a stand the first time. Make sure to spray about 1 ft to 18 in away, it coats amazing. I tried 1 touch up where I had a scratch and was too close and it pooled. also, at 400 and 1 hr the first time a little still came off when wiped with a towel. (Barely any but still minor residue) 2nd attempt I did 1hr at 400, set to 450 for another 15 mins. This was perfect. No residue would come off. 20 mins of extra heat is the way to go Before and after photos included

Excellent to Refurb BBQ grills.
Got this for my rusted Weber grill plates. After steel brushing the rust of the grills, this paint was then applied to the grills. Excellent. The grills are back in the Weber, and no odours at all. So far, after a week of cooking on the BBQ, very impressed.
