My previous retractable leashes broke, so I picked this one up, and in comparison, my old ones are cheap, plastic-y, and fragile. This one has a nice heft to it, and inside of a thin, fish-line cable, it has a flat cord that feels substantial and secure—doesn’t seem to tangle…stays flat. My new pup (15lb rat terrier) does fine on it—training him to stop and wait at every corner, and the lock button comes in handy, and again, it’s much more stable and substantial than my previous leashes. And the bonus!!! I name my new little guy, “Tug”, cause I wanted a short, snappy name to match his personality, like Jax or Huck, then I saw this leash, and new right away “Tug” was it!! Now he leash is “custom” personalized with his name!! Ha! Great leash so far.

I wish I had purchased this sooner! It has been incredibly convenient and works exactly as expected. I ordered a size medium, but I probably could have gone with a small since the size refers to the actual device housing rather than the leash length. One of my favorite features is that it extends up to 16 feet, giving my dog plenty of room to explore while still staying under control. The retracting mechanism is very smooth, and it's easy and comfortable to use. Overall, it's a great quality product, and I'm very happy with my purchase!

Awesome leash! I have a very energetic 5 mo pup that likes to zig zag and run. I wanted a durable retractable leash and this is it! It is a very good design with a comfortable grip. The nylon leash is good quality. I was surprised that it included a 1 foot lead to clip on for chewers which mine is. The lead is more durable than the nylon so will withstand biting and tugging keeping your nylon leash in tactical. And it adds another foot on length. I love this leash and will buy more!

This was my second purchase of the same model. The medium still works well a year later after daily use with a 40lb, 3y/o mixed breed. The retractor has begun to fail after 12 months, which is a similar pattern to the first one I bought, but it has been reliable up to this point. It is also very comfortable to hold, even on half-day outings. Actually, I still have the first one, which is solid despite weak and often ineffectual retraction efforts, just in case I needed an emergency backup. She sometimes tries to carry the end in a cute message for me to hurry up (I use the extension) in her mouth, but it shows no wear. She does not try to chew it, but her teeth are in contact at times and I was worried about fraying. She sometimes walks at the end of the leash when she is in a loose leash mode, occasionally pulling. We are working on that! When using the first one of the two, she would run it out often when still new to us (~1y/o 30#), but that has diminished to almost never with training. Still, the first one also last a year even with that abuse. I will buy a third because the first two kept her safe for two years now and so I trust them. We travel often in a travel trailer and leash laws prevail, having physical backup to oral commands has been reassuring to both me and many around me. Up until it has begin to fail (the last 2' do not retract now), it operated seamlessly and reliable in all kinds of weather for about the same amount of time. I have used a large carabiner to attack a pouch of bags to the narrowest part of the handle and that has been working for over a year. One extension (which as included) also lasted as long as the leash, as did the snap hooks on the ends, and with no failures. I am giving 5 stars because of the continuous reliability in a critical mission. Yes, I wish it lasted two years or five, but this is the only thing I have found to wish was improve and that is not worth subtracting a star. At this point, I am simply considering the leash to be an excellent and proven tool that simply needs annual replacement.

This is actually our second purchase of this leash, which honestly says more than anything else I could probably write in the review. The first one eventually broke, but after looking back at it realistically, it had also survived over 4 years of regular use with a rambunctious 100-pound dog basically treating walks like a tactical drag race around the yard. 😄 Considering the abuse it went through, I honestly can’t complain too much about the lifespan. The 16-foot length gives the dog enough room to explore without feeling overly restrictive, and the retracting mechanism stayed smooth for most of its life on the original leash. One thing I especially like is the one-handed lock and pause controls. They’re simple enough to use quickly while trying to maintain your dignity as a large excited dog suddenly decides a squirrel has violated international law. The handle is also comfortable enough during longer walks, and the tape-style leash feels sturdier and less tangle-prone than some thinner cord-style retractable leashes we’ve used before. Obviously any retractable leash is eventually going to wear over time depending on dog size, pulling habits, and usage conditions, but getting over 4 years out of the first one with a powerful dog honestly felt pretty reasonable to me. Overall, this has been a dependable retractable leash with good everyday usability, and the fact that we bought the exact same one again after years of heavy use probably says everything that matters.

Got the medium for my American pit-bull mix pup when he only 10 months old. And while it’s only rated for 55 lbs and below, it’s still going strong and solid after he’s grow to 60+lbs. And stops him in his tracks with the rare excitement/reactive bolts, while in the yard doing is business. Highly recommend!

Great item, great price, speedy delivery as always. Very strong and lightweight at same time. Very comfortable grip, anti tangle is perfect, I have a large dog (75kg) and this is more than strong enough for her. Great colours too, not your standard boring ones. Highly recommended.

Depuis deux ans, j'utilise la laisse flexi et j'en suis pleinement satisfait. Cependant, étant donné que le modèle que je possédais était trop petit, il ne me permettait pas d'insérer l'ensemble de mes doigts en raison de l'épaisseur de mes gants d'hiver. De plus, la corde fine s'emmêlait parfois dans les pattes des autres chiens, risquant de les blesser. C'est pourquoi j'ai décidé de passer à un modèle plus grand avec une corde plus large. À l'ouverture du colis, mon impression a été très positive. La boîte contenant la laisse enrouleur ainsi qu'un mousqueton supplémentaire est élégante. La coque de la laisse respire la qualité, et sa couleur est véritablement noire, contrairement à celle de la flexi, qui, bien qu'annoncée noire, est en réalité marron foncé. Le mousqueton est pratique, et le cordon est solide. Le système permettant de bloquer ou dérouler le cordon est suffisamment spacieux pour être manipulé facilement avec des gros gants, ce qui constitue un véritable atout. Le grip du TUG assure une excellente prise contrairement au flexi qui m'a échappé plusieurs fois des mains. Bien que le poids du modèle plus grand soit légèrement plus élevé que l'équivalent en flexi, je suis extrêmement satisfait de mon achat, tant sur le plan esthétique que pratique. C'est un produit robuste, et en prime, son tarif est plus avantageux que celui de son homologue. Reste à voir comment le mécanisme résistera à une utilisation prolongée, mais cela ne semble pas être un problème étant donné la qualité de fabrication et la solidité apparente du produit. J'ai acheté ce produit en janvier, et depuis septembre, la laisse s'enroule difficilement jusqu'à aujourd'hui, où elle ne s'enroule plus du tout ! Déçu donc de cette marque qui manque cruellement de longévité. En effet, neuf mois me semble un peu court. Je vais donc m'orienter vers une autre marque.

Stabilt koppel med bra längd. Fungerar alldeles utmärkt till en stor hund. Gåvan som kom med för hundar som biter på kopplet var alldeles utmärkt med en valp som gärna just biter på kopplet. Väldigt nöjd
