Nielson leads the reader in a study of two of the most beautiful Old Testament poetic books, both of which deal with universal, basic human quests: for the meaning of life (Ecclesiastes), and the joy of love (Song of Songs). Careful attention to textual form and content combines with personal meditation and application. Review: I feel like I'm actually studying - This is the 4th or 5th Kathleen Nielson study I've done. I'm about halfway through and am loving it. Kathleen really makes you look for answers in the Word, instead of being spoon fed. I feel like I'm actually studying, and learning instead of getting easy question prompts that require little thought or effort. My only criticism is that every once in a while, there will be an unclear question, i.e. I won't feel like I understand exactly what it is she's asking. Oh, one other plus, her books are spiral bound. Makes studying much more convenient! Review: Excellent Bible study - An excellent study of books that cover two central topics in life: work and love. Recommended especially for young adults, but all will benefit from these two Wisdom books. Each lesson covers a very manageable amount of work for the average busy adult.
